Clinicians will provide assessments and consultations to families referred by our partners at the NYC Administration for Children&rsquo;s Services (ACS) in the Bronx. These clinicians bring expertise in <strong>home visiting and family engagement</strong>, ensuring that children and families receive high-quality, trauma-informed support both in the office as well as directly in their homes and communities.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Montefiore</strong>, the University Hospital for Albert Einstein College of Medicine, is nationally recognized for clinical excellence, research, and community partnerships that improve health outcomes across New York City. <strong>University Behavioral Associates (UBA)</strong>, a part of Montefiore, is dedicated to providing innovative, evidence-based behavioral health and child welfare services to support children, families, and communities.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>CSP clinical staff will be based at one of the following Bronx locations: 1200 Waters Place, 2100 Bartow Avenue, and 2501 Grand Concourse (with responsibilities at 1775 Grand Concourse). Staff may be expected to travel between locations at times. The typical shift is M-F from 8:30am-5pm but occasional evenings may be required.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>About the Role</strong></p> <p>As a <strong>Community Based Specialist</strong>, you will serve as a clinical partner to ACS staff, providing on-the-ground expertise during <strong>home and community visits</strong>. You will conduct <strong>mental status assessments, support client engagement</strong>, and offer clinical input in real time. In addition, when home visit demand is lower, you may provide consultation support at program sites to ensure timely response to clinical needs.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>We are hiring multiple Community Based Specialists. Those with experience across the <strong>lifespan</strong> (child, adolescent, adults), and/or those with experience in <strong>intimate partner violence</strong> (IPV) are strongly encouraged to apply.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>This is a Union (1199) position. Starting salary is $39/ hour. Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Attend <strong>home visits upon ACS request</strong> to provide clinical expertise and support.</li> <li>Conduct <strong>mental status assessments</strong> and share findings to guide case planning and engagement strategies.</li> <li>Assist in strengthening <strong>family engagement and participation</strong> during home visits and case contacts.</li> <li>Collaborate with ACS staff, supervisors, and clinical teams to ensure services are clinically sound and family-centered.</li> <li>Provide backup consultation support at sites when there is a <strong>high volume of consultation requests</strong>.</li> <li>Uphold standards of trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and developmentally appropriate practice.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li><strong>Licensed LMSW, LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT</strong> (required).</li> <li><strong>5+ years of clinical experience</strong> providing services to children, adults, and families.</li> <li><strong>2+ years working with child welfare&ndash;involved families</strong> or in related high-need systems.</li> <li>Specialized expertise in <strong>home visiting models and practice.</strong></li> <li>Strong clinical assessment, engagement, and communication skills.</li> <li>Flexibility and collaboration in supporting both <strong>community-based home visits and site-based consultations.</strong></li> <li><strong>Spanish speaking preferred.</strong></li> </ul>
