Overview: Montefiore Medical Center is seeking a physician with M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. degrees to join their team as Medical Laboratory Director at affiliate hospitals.<br /><br /> <p>Montefiore Medical Center is a university-affiliated health care system serving the Bronx and Westchester County. The Department of Pathology performs 12 million billable tests annually and has multiple clinical laboratory locations in the Bronx and Westchester County.</p> <p>&nbsp;&nbsp;<br />We offer a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package.</p> <p>Annual salary is in the range of $250,000-$375,000 and is dependent on years of experience, including previous leadership roles.</p> <p>Interested candidates should submit a letter of interest and their CV to the Vice-Chair of Clinical Pathology, Lucia R. Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Oversight of clinical laboratory operations, active participation in hospital committees, resident and medical school teaching are responsibilities of the position. &nbsp;</li> <li>Additional responsibilities will be commensurate with training, experience, and academic interest, including participation in translational or clinical research.&nbsp;</li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li>Candidates must be board certified in CP or AP/CP and have an established expertise in laboratory management. &nbsp;</li> <li>Training and/or experience in Blood Banking/Transfusion Medicine is desirable, but training/experience in other AP/CP subspecialty areas are also highly valued. &nbsp;</li> <li>Applicants must possess or be eligible to obtain New York State Certificates of Qualification for Medical Directorship. &nbsp;</li> <li>Academic appointment to the Albert Einstein College of Medicine is commensurate with credentials and experience.</li> </ul>
