MON-FRI.</p> <p><strong><u>SUMMARY OF POSITION:</u></strong></p> <p>The Montefiore RN-OR maintains standards of the practice for nursing as defined by the American Nurses Association Code of Ethics, Nursing Scope and Standards of Practice and Nursing&rsquo;s Social Policy Statement.</p> <p>The Registered Nurse - OR actualizes the vision, mission, values, balanced scorecard performance measures for Montefiore Medical Center.</p>
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>The RN participates in performance improvement/research activities; maintains professional practice standards and clinical expertise; and demonstrates leadership skills. </li> <li>The RN demonstrates core and unit specific competencies based on the patient population served.</li> <li>The Registered Nurse contributes to the actualization of the philosophy and objectives of the MMC and the Surgical Care Center.</li> <li>They are committed to maintaining the standards of the practice of nursing and are responsible for the coordination, implementation, and delivery of care to the neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult and/or elderly patient. </li> <li>They participate in performance improvement/research activities, maintain professional practice standards and clinical expertise; and demonstrate leadership skills.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li>New York State Registered Professional License and current registration or valid permit to practice in New York State</li> <li>B.S. degree preferred</li> <li>BLS required</li> <li>Membership in CNOR highly desirable</li> <li>OR experience preferred</li> </ul>
