Overview: <p><strong>Administrative Nursing Supervisor</strong></p> <p>The Administrative Nursing Supervisor is responsible for providing administrative and clinical leadership across assigned nursing units and services. This role ensures safe, efficient, and high-quality patient care through effective staffing coordination, operational oversight, and adherence to organizational policies, procedures, and regulatory standards. The Supervisor serves as a clinical and administrative resource for nursing staff and interdisciplinary teams and supports hospital-wide initiatives to improve patient outcomes and operational performance.</p>
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Provide administrative and clinical oversight of nursing operations during assigned shifts</li> <li>Coordinate staffing, patient flow, and resource allocation to ensure safe and effective patient care</li> <li>Serve as a leadership resource for nursing staff, addressing clinical, operational, and personnel concerns</li> <li>Ensure compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements, including Joint Commission, CMS, and NYS Department of Health standards</li> <li>Support quality improvement, patient safety, and risk management initiatives</li> <li>Facilitate communication and collaboration among nursing leadership, physicians, and interdisciplinary teams</li> <li>Respond to and manage urgent clinical or operational issues, including incident reporting and escalation as needed</li> <li>Participate in audits, documentation review, and regulatory readiness activities</li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li>Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; Master&rsquo;s degree preferred</li> <li>Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of New York</li> <li>Minimum of five (5) years of recent clinical nursing experience, with supervisory or leadership experience preferred</li> <li>Strong clinical judgment and decision-making skills</li> <li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills</li> <li>Demonstrated ability to manage staffing, patient flow, and competing priorities</li> <li>Proficiency with electronic health records and basic computer applications</li> <li>Ability to work flexible schedules, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays as required</li> </ul>
