This includes steam engines, air compressors, and auxiliary systems that provide steam, electric power, and other essential services to the facility.</p>
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Operate and maintain boilers, steam engines, air compressors, and related power plant equipment.</li> <li>Monitor systems to ensure optimal performance and compliance with safety standards.</li> <li>Inspect, troubleshoot, and perform maintenance and repairs on HVAC systems, refrigeration equipment, boilers, and engines.</li> <li>Maintain accurate logs and records of equipment performance and maintenance activities.</li> <li>Respond to emergency situations and perform corrective actions as needed.</li> <li>Perform other related duties as assigned.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li>High School Diploma or equivalent; technical training in boiler operation or HVAC preferred.</li> <li>Valid NYC Stationary Engineer License required.</li> <li>Minimum 3 years of experience in boiler operation and maintenance in a healthcare or industrial setting.</li> <li>Completion of a trade apprenticeship program and have five years of experience as a Stationary Engineer.</li> <li>Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, safety protocols, and regulatory compliance.</li> <li>Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.</li> <li>Must also possess the following certificates: S-12 Citywide Sprinkler Systems, S-13 Citywide Standpipe System, G-71 Supervision of Piped Non-Flammable Medical Gases, G-60 Torch Use of Flammable Gases, F-60 Fire Guard for Torch Operations &amp; Const. Site.</li> </ul>
