Overview: <p>The Substance Abuse Treatment Program [SATP] at Montefiore is comprised of two opioid treatment programs, Unit I and Unit III, as well as an outpatient chemical dependency program named New Directions Recovery Center. SATP has been providing methadone treatment for opioid dependence for over 35 years. The Supervisor MMTP Counseling will provide Clinical, Administrative Management, and Supervision of counselors. Will be responsible for facilitating integration of clinical services with the overall administration and management of the clinic.&nbsp;</p>
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Supervision of counseling staff regarding their clinical work with patients.</li> <li>Conduct intakes for new patients.</li> <li>Orient and train counseling staff regarding all aspects of the program and the role of the substance use counselor.</li> <li>Review and supervision of counselors&rsquo; administrative responsibilities.</li> <li>Complete scheduled evaluations of all supervised staff as well as initiate disciplinary process when indicated.</li> <li>Monitoring staff compliance with hospital and program policies and procedures.</li> <li>Initiate staff compliance with hospital and program policies and procedures.</li> <li>Acting site director in absence of site director.</li> <li>Unit staff scheduling on an ongoing basis and monitoring compliance.</li> <li>Manage conflict resolution of staff and patients.</li> <li>Organize and chair regularly scheduled IDC meetings and morning report to facilitate interdisciplinary communication.</li> <li>Oversee counselor follow-up on IDC recommendations.</li> <li>Participate in interviewing, hiring and orienting new staff.&nbsp;</li> <li>Maintain and supervise reporting systems to upper management.</li> <li>Facilitate temporary medication for patients referred from other programs.</li> <li>Primary Backup to alternate team clinical supervisor in leading IDC&rsquo;s.&nbsp;</li> <li>Facilitate implementation of CQI program with counseling staff including timely reporting of CQI indicators to CQI Committee.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li>LMSW or LCSW, Mental Health Counseling (LMHC), Clinical Psychology or other clinical field required.</li> <li>A minimum of at least 3 years of experience in the treatment of substance use required.</li> <li>Training in assessment and treatment of substance use disorders required.</li> <li>Must possess strong leadership, communication and organizational skills.</li> <li>Supervisory or administrative experience is preferred.</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>This is a 100% grant funded position.</p>
