Overview: Montefiore&rsquo;s Experience Design and End User Research team is seeking a<strong>&nbsp;Principal Experience Designer&nbsp;with deep&nbsp;expertise&nbsp;in service design and user research.</strong>&nbsp;This individual contributor leads the end-to-end design of complex experience domains, applying mastery in product design across native, web, voice, and conversational channels, as well as a broad range of&nbsp;user&nbsp;research methods.&nbsp;As part of a newly established design practice, they will help build and scale the design capability across the organization, energizing teams and embedding human-centered design ways of working.&nbsp;The role drives high-quality execution&nbsp;and&nbsp;advances design practices&nbsp;to deliver&nbsp;strong user and business outcomes.&nbsp;

Requirements: <ul> <li>Minimum 6 years of experience designing products and services across digital platforms (including web, mobile apps, voice interfaces, virtual assistants, and native platforms.)</li> <li>Bachelors degree in design, user experience, graphic design, information design, product design, human factors or equivalent/relevant work experience.</li> <li>Expertise in service design, end-to-end experience strategy, and systems thinking</li> <li>Demonstrated success leading design initiatives and delivering high-impact user and business outcomes.</li> <li>Strong experience creating journey maps, service blueprints, and other experience artifacts informed by user research.</li> <li>Skilled in designing accessible experiences across different channels and platforms.</li> <li>Experience developing and evolving design systems and standards to ensure consistency and scalability.</li> <li>Deep understanding of user-centered design principles and how design decisions influence behavior, perception, and task completion.</li> <li>Advanced proficiency in qualitative and quantitative research methods.</li> <li>Proven ability to translate research findings into actionable insights and recommendations for product, operational, and executive stakeholders.</li> <li>Strong track record of building collaborative relationships with cross-functional partners, including product, engineering, data, adoption, measurement, and marketing teams.</li> <li>Excellent storytelling, workshop facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.</li> </ul> <br /><br />***While much of this role involves work that can be performed remotely, there is an expectation of periodic onsite presence at our various Westchester, NY and Bronx, NY locations.<br /><br /><br />Preferred Qualifications:<br /> <ul> <li>Experience designing for healthcare settings, including patient-facing digital platforms or clinical workflows.</li> <li>Experience working in an Agile practice environment.</li> <li>Interest in emerging technologies such as AI, voice interfaces, or wearables.</li> </ul>
