Overview: <p>Montefiore Medicine/Albert Einstein College of Medicine, Department of Neurology, is seeking M.D. new faculty hires at the Assistant or Associate Professor level with interest in Cognitive Neurology and Dementia. A career path in research is not exclusive. General neurologists or neurologists with additional Fellowship in other Fellowships, clinical trialists, are welcomed for a dual role.<br /><br /><br /></p> <p>Montefiore Medical Center/Albert Einstein College of Medicine and the Neurology department are nationally recognized for quality of patient care and provide clinical, academic, and research leadership in the region.</p> <p>We are looking to fill both junior and advanced positions. with the advanced candidate will be working in a leadership position with systemwide expert- Dr Jessica Zwerling.</p> <p><br />For candidates, there is a competitive salary (260,000-300,000) in leadership and (240,000 to 260,000) for junior level positions. We offer the opportunity to supplement income with productivity incentives. Responsibilities: <ul> <li>The candidate should be interested in assessing patients with Dementia including Alzheimer&rsquo;s disease (AD), vascular dementia, and Fronto-temporal dementia (FTD).</li> <li>They will work with interdisciplinary team at our Center of Excellence for Alzheimer's disease.</li> <li>The CEAD (Center of Excellence for Alzheimer's Disease) is one of ten Alzheimer&rsquo;s Disease Centers of Excellence supported in part by a grant from the New York State Department of Health.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li>An interest in teaching and training medical students, Residents and Fellows.</li> <li>All applicants should be Board Certified/Board Eligible in Neurology.</li> <li>Research and clinical mentors will be provided to guide early career Neurologists.</li> <li>General Neurologists with an interest in geriatric neurology welcomed.</li> <li>The level of appointment will be commensurate with credentials.</li> </ul>
