Overview: The Agile Coach is a senior-level facilitator and mentor responsible for guiding individuals, teams, and leaders across the Montefiore IT organization in adopting and continuously improving Agile practices. This role will be central to building a culture of agility and will require a blend of exceptional coaching skills, a deep knowledge of Agile principles, and technical expertise.<br /><br />The Agile Coach works closely with Scrum Masters, Product Managers, Development team members, and senior leadership to implement Agile mindsets, promote cross-functional collaboration, and foster high-performing teams. As part of the Agile Center of Excellence, the coach will also support our broader transformation efforts to transition to more Agile ways of working
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Provide ongoing coaching to Agile teams and individuals to promote Agile principles, practices, and a culture of continuous improvement.</li> <li>Demonstrate leading practices for facilitating Agile ceremonies such as planning, reviews, and retrospectives, and support organization and mobilization of Agile teams.</li> <li>Guide teams in using meaningful Agile metrics (e.g., Cycle Time, velocity, Backlog health, Predictability) to support continuous improvement.</li> <li>Lead and deliver training workshops and coaching programs for teams, leaders, and stakeholder groups across domains.</li> <li>Mentor Scrum Masters and Product Managers/Owners to grow internal coaching capacity and support team maturity.</li> <li>Provide Performance Management for Scrum Master to support growth and development.</li> <li>Partner with IT and business leadership to align Agile execution with strategic goals and delivery outcomes.</li> <li>Work with teams to improve collaboration, dependency management, and program-level coordination across functions.</li> <li>Help teams and leadership shift from project-centric to product- and value-driven thinking.</li> <li>Build and sustain Agile Communities of Practice to promote knowledge sharing, role development, and culture change.</li> <li>Encourage an Agile Culture and a mindset of experimentation and continuous learning<br />Target Skills</li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li>7-9 years Coaching or enterprise Agile transformation role Required</li> <li>Strong facilitation and mentoring skills with demonstrated success coaching teams, leaders, and Agile roles Required</li> <li>Familiarity with multiple delivery models (Agile, Lean, Kanban, traditional) Required</li> <li>Strong communication and influence skills across technical and non-technical audiences Required</li> <li>&bull; Agile principles and delivery practices (Scrum, Kanban, Lean) &bull; Recent high-level experience in Jira/Confluence Cloud. &bull; Team and leadership coaching &bull; People leadership in an Agile environment &bull; Facilitation of Agile ceremonies and workshops &bull; Change management and transformation leadership &bull; Stakeholder engagement and collaboration &bull; Agile performance metrics and information radiator experience. &bull; Conflict resolution and team dynamics &bull; Product and value-driven delivery mindset &bull; Continuous improvement and learning culture &bull; Communication and influence across levels (High proficiency)</li> <li>Epic experience</li> <li>Agile-related certifications are a plus but not required</li> <li>Bachelors degree or equivalent experience.</li> </ul>
