Responsibilities: <ul> <li>The registered Ultrasound Technologist performs various modalities of cardiac ultrasound, including Transthoracic echo, stress (exercise and pharmacological) echo, including Echo with contrast; assistance in transesophageal echo and assistance in echo guided invasive procedures.</li> <li>Responsibilities include preparation of preliminary findings reports, study transmittal and Perform Bedside Echoes and coverage of various outpatient satellite sites and hospital echo labs.</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong><u>SCHEDULE:</u></strong>&nbsp;8:30 AM-5 PM. Days vary. This position will require coverage at other hospital locations and outpatient practices per operational need.</p>
Requirements: <ul> <li>Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS OR RDCS) with at least 6 months hospital experience as an Echo tech in an acute care setting required.</li> <li>High School Diploma/GED required.</li> <li>Completion of CAAHEP certified cardiovascular sonography program preferred.</li> <li>Must be BLS certified.</li> <li>Requires 30 CE credits per three-year rolling triennium to maintain active registered status.</li> <li>Knowledge of various Ultrasound Systems including, Phillips iE33, Phillips Epiq, Phillips CX-50 and SONOS 7500/5500.</li> <li>Knowledge of PC Computer for data entry, Celera, LifeImage, and Epic applications.</li> <li>Extensive knowledge of the principles of ultrasound physics and instrumentation of ultrasound systems, cardiac anatomy, physiology and pathology.</li> <li>Knowledge of exercise stress echo and pharmacological stress echo, transesophageal echo, and echo guided invasive procedures and sterile techniques and procedures required.</li> <li>Proficiency in operation of PC and use of Xcelera and Apollo.</li> </ul>
