Overview: The&nbsp;<strong>Clinical&nbsp;Manager</strong>&nbsp;for the&nbsp;<strong>Division of&nbsp;Services&nbsp;for Addiction</strong>&nbsp;will provide&nbsp;clinical&nbsp;supervision to the counseling staff of the Melrose Wellness Center. &nbsp;This includes developing&nbsp;clinical&nbsp;programs, policies and procedures, accountability systems, ensuring compliance with local, state and federal regulatory agencies and supervising and evaluating the work of&nbsp;clinical&nbsp;staff.
Responsibilities: <div> <ul> <li>Monitor the treatment status of patients with AIDS and HIV infection, psychiatric disorders and child welfare issues.&nbsp;</li> </ul> </div> <ul> <li>Ensure that all patients are provided with optimal&nbsp;clinical&nbsp;services&nbsp;appropriate to their level of need.</li> <li>Ensure that patient treatment needs are appropriately assessed and responded to by&nbsp;clinical&nbsp;staff. Provide comprehensive psychological&nbsp;services&nbsp;to patients in need of crisis management when the clinic physician is not available and document&nbsp;services&nbsp;in the&nbsp;clinical&nbsp;record.</li> <li>Ensure compliance with local, state and federal regulatory agencies for&nbsp;clinical&nbsp;components of treatment. Participate in accreditation activities and assist with corrective actions as necessary.</li> <li>Attend interdisciplinary case conferences when necessary.</li> <li>Assist in the development, implementation and enforcement of&nbsp;clinical&nbsp;policies, protocols and programs. Develop accountability systems for maintaining timeliness and quality of documentation and monitor ongoing compliance with accountability systems.</li> <li>Monitor performance and productivity; initiate and implement disciplinary action, as appropriate. Identify deficient or incomplete documentation, provide appropriate feedback, and track corrective actions.</li> <li>Keep abreast of the research literature and new developments in the field and assist with research projects that occur at the Division.</li> <li>Consult with counseling, administrative and executive staff.</li> <li></li> <li>Document and maintain written supervisory logs and provide feedback to the Senior Coordinator of Social&nbsp;Services.</li> <li>Provide orientation regarding clinic policies and procedures for newly hired counseling staff.</li> <li>Make on-site inspections of&nbsp;clinical&nbsp;operations.</li> <li>Audit patient charts and identify, develop and implement strategies for improvement of&nbsp;clinical&nbsp;operations. Ensure consistency and continuity of&nbsp;clinical&nbsp;practices in the Division. Participate in monthly Continuous Quality Improvement meetings.</li> <li>Develop accountability systems for maintaining and monitoring ongoing compliance with accountability systems.</li> <li>Communicate with clinic administrators and executive staff members. Attend all&nbsp;clinical&nbsp;meetings.</li> <li>Coordinate in-service staff training and outside consultation at affiliated facilities.</li> <li>Coordinate all graduate-level and counseling internships.</li> <li>Coordinate staff in-service education at the clinic level; maintain agenda and attendance logs. Requirements: <ul> <li>Master&rsquo;s degree in Social Work, Psychology, or Mental Health Counseling required.</li> <li>New York State license as LCSW, LMHC, or PhD in Psychology required.</li> <li>Must have three (3) years of experience working with patients with Substance Use Disorders required<br />Supervisory experience is preferred</li> <li>Expertise in the assessment and treatment of substance abuse required.</li> <li>Proficiency in Excel and other spreadsheet/database systems to track counselor progress.</li> </ul>
