Responsibilities: <div> <ul> <li>This position will be the primary point of contact for all&nbsp;issues&nbsp;related to medical surgical distribution,&nbsp;and&nbsp;distribution contracting at the&nbsp;GPO and local level.</li> <li>The Category Manager will work across all Supply&nbsp;Chain&nbsp;and Clinical&nbsp;departments&nbsp;to ensure&nbsp;appropriate performance&nbsp;and value from Montefiore&rsquo;s contracted medical surgical distribution partner<u>&nbsp;and direct&nbsp;</u><u>vendors</u><u>.</u></li> <li>This&nbsp;position&nbsp;is responsible for&nbsp;the end-to-end process&nbsp;of&nbsp;source-to-contract for a&nbsp;clinical&nbsp;category(s)&nbsp;within a health care setting&nbsp;utilizing&nbsp;sourcing best practices.</li> <li>The Category Manager will develop sourcing strategies in collaboration with stakeholders that&nbsp;achieve&nbsp;cost, quality, and outcomes.&nbsp;</li> <li>The&nbsp;Category&nbsp;Manager will&nbsp;be responsible for&nbsp;identifying&nbsp;initiatives,&nbsp;developing market/spend analysis, benchmarking comparisons, and competitive procurement documents (RFP/RFI).</li> <li>This position will&nbsp;lead&nbsp;supplier negotiations, contract development/management, vendor management, and the identification/realization&nbsp;of savings opportunities.</li> <li>The ideal candidate&nbsp;is skilled at creating presentations and presenting/discussing complex Supply Chain initiatives to all levels of leadership.&nbsp;</li> </ul> </div>
