This role operates in a high-volume, fast-paced environment and requires strong clinical judgment, regulatory knowledge, and the ability to manage sensitive employee health matters.&nbsp;<br />&nbsp;<br />The Staff Nurse is responsible for supporting employee clearance processes, managing workplace exposures and injuries, and ensuring all services are delivered in compliance with OSHA, CDC, DOH, and organizational standards.&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Location:&nbsp;</strong>57 E Gun Hill Road, Bronx NY<br /><br /><strong>Shift:&nbsp;</strong>Monday to Friday 0830A &ndash; 0500P; Alternating weekends&nbsp;</p>
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Conduct post-offer pre-placement (POPP) evaluations, annual assessments, and periodic medical surveillance in accordance with regulatory and organizational requirements.</li> <li>Support return-to-work (RTW) and fitness-for-duty (FFD) processes, including clinical documentation and coordination with providers and leadership.</li> <li>Perform respirator fit testing and vision screening (including color vision testing) in compliance with OSHA standards.</li> <li>Administer immunizations and medications per protocol; ensure appropriate documentation, patient education, and post-administration monitoring.</li> <li>Triage and manage work-related injuries and blood/body fluid exposures (BBPE), ensuring timely evaluation, documentation, and follow-up.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li> <li>Respond to urgent employee health concerns within scope and escalate appropriately when indicated.</li> <li>Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant documentation in EPIC and Cority, ensuring all encounters meet clinical and regulatory standards.</li> <li>Monitor and maintain vaccine and pharmaceutical inventory; ensure proper storage, handling, and documentation in accordance with regulatory requirements.</li> <li>Ensure clinical equipment is properly maintained, calibrated, and compliant with safety standards.</li> <li>Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, operations leadership, and HR to support employee health clearance, accommodations, and compliance workflows.</li> <li>Participate in health education and prevention initiatives to support workforce safety and wellness.</li> <li>Uphold strict confidentiality while managing sensitive employee health information.</li> <li>Deliver professional, respectful, and culturally competent care in all interactions.</li> </ul> <br /> <p>&nbsp;&nbsp;<br /><strong>Work Environment &amp; Expectations&nbsp;</strong></p> <ul> <li>High-volume, fast-paced occupational health setting supporting a large healthcare workforce.</li> <li>Requires the ability to manage competing priorities, time-sensitive clearances, and regulatory-driven workflows.</li> <li>Strong documentation and system navigation skills are essential.</li> <li>May require flexibility to support peak operational needs (e.g., onboarding surges, vaccination campaigns).</li> </ul>
