Overview: <p>Montefiore Medical Center&rsquo;s subsidiary, <strong>University Behavioral Associates (UBA)</strong>, is seeking full-time <strong>Licensed Psychologists</strong> to join our <strong>WeCARE program</strong>. WeCARE is an employment-focused program serving welfare recipients with medical and/or mental health disorders. Psychologists play a central role in determining employability for individuals with mental health conditions and assisting with federal disability applications.</p> <p>At UBA, we are committed to helping individuals overcome medical, mental health, and social barriers to employment so they can achieve greater independence and self-sufficiency. Responsibilities: <p>The Psychologist collaborates closely with the Medical Director to implement standard operating procedures and ensure adherence to NYC HRA contractual requirements. Primary responsibilities include conducting Psychological Assessments for clients when:</p> <ul> <li>They disagree with their Functional Capacity Outcome determination, or</li> <li>A Functional Capacity Outcome cannot be determined following a Clinical Assessment and potential mental health barriers to employment are identified.</li> </ul> <p>You will also serve as a clinical resource for WeCARE staff to help ensure that program goals and contractual obligations are consistently met.</p>
Requirements: <ul> <li>Doctoral Degree required (PHD or PsyD).</li> <li>Licensed Psychologist in the State of New York (active registration required).</li> <li>Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience required.</li> <li>Experience with disability evaluations strongly preferred.</li> <li>Strong writing skills required.</li> <li>Knowledge of medical and/or behavioral health diagnoses required.</li> </ul>
