Overview: The&nbsp;Montefiore RN&nbsp;maintains&nbsp;standards of&nbsp;the&nbsp;practice for nursing as&nbsp;defined&nbsp;by the American Nurses&nbsp;Association&nbsp;Code of Ethics, Nursing&nbsp;Scope&nbsp;and Standards of Practice&nbsp;and&nbsp;Nursing's Social Policy&nbsp;Statement.&nbsp;The&nbsp;Registered&nbsp;Nurse&nbsp;actualizes the&nbsp;vision,&nbsp;mission,&nbsp;values, and balanced scorecard performance measures for Montefiore Medical Center.<br /><br /> <div>**Note, this position provides bi-campus coverage at Moses and Einstein**</div> <div>&nbsp;</div>
Responsibilities: The RN participates in&nbsp;performance improvement/research&nbsp;activities,&nbsp;maintains&nbsp;professional&nbsp;practice&nbsp;standards&nbsp;and&nbsp;clinical&nbsp;expertise; and&nbsp;demonstrates leadership&nbsp;skills. The&nbsp;RN&nbsp;demonstrates&nbsp;core and unit specific competencies based on&nbsp;the&nbsp;patient&nbsp;population&nbsp;served.
Requirements: <ul> <li>Associate's degree in nursing Required</li> <li>Bachelor's degree in nursing Preferred</li> <li>New York State License for Registered Professional Nurse and current&nbsp;registration&nbsp;or valid permit&nbsp;to&nbsp;practice in&nbsp;New&nbsp;York State as an R.N.</li> <li>Basic&nbsp;Life&nbsp;Support Training</li> <li>Infection&nbsp;Control Training</li> <li>Minimum of one year of experience in an Oncology setting Required</li> <li>ONS Chemotherapy/ Biotherapy provider Certification strongly Preferred</li> <li>Strong knowledge of chemotherapy/biotherapy administration, infusion protocols, and patient safety standards strongly Preferred</li> <li>Effective&nbsp;English&nbsp;communication skills, both written and oral</li> <li>Ability to use basic data entry and&nbsp;retrieval&nbsp;systems</li> </ul>
