Overview: The practice of a physician assistant shall include medical services within the education, training and experience of the physician assistant that are delegated by the supervising physician.
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Assist in the OR/participate in rounds on assigned service</li> <li>Assess patients. Record physical and history on assigned service with countersignature within 24 hours.</li> <li>Apply and remove casts and/or traction</li> <li>Change surgical dressings/perform minor suturing/removal of sutures</li> <li>Order routine laboratory work and x-rays.</li> <li>Start IV's and draw blood.</li> <li>On the instruction of the attending physician, will write orders for medical and intravenous fluid.</li> <li>Write routine orders including diet, patient activity and all other diagnostic procedures.</li> <li>May see patients in ER/ECP and/or Clinic</li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li>Graduate from an accredited Physician Assistant school</li> <li>Registered as a Physician's Assistant in New York</li> <li>NCCPA(certified) DEA license/CPR-BLS/NPI/NCC PA required.</li> <li>Minimum of one experience as a PA.</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> Montefiore New Rochelle Hospital is an equal employment opportunity employer.
