The hospital is part of the Montefiore Health System, a premier academic health system serving more than 3 million people living in the New York City region and Hudson Valley.</p> <p>We have a fantastic opportunity for <strong>Per-Diem </strong><strong>Exercise Physiologists </strong>to join our Cardiac Rehab team.</p> <p><strong><br />Position Summary</strong>:</p> <p>Perform accurate assessments for patients with cardiovascular disease including exercise prescriptions, EKG telemetry interpretations, patient education and safe exercise floor supervision.</p>
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Assess patients' fitness and health.</li> <li>Design exercise programs to meet patient goals by increasing their cardiovascular fitness.</li> <li>Maintain daily quality control for all Cardiac Rehab equipment.</li> <li>Prepare medical necessity reports.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li>Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Science/Physiology required. Master's Degree preferred.</li> <li>BLS Certification through the American Heart Association required and ultimate complete of ACLS certification.</li> <li>ACSM Certification a plus.</li> <li>Prior experience in a similar role, new graduates will be considered.</li> <li>Excellent communication skills.</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>We offer an excellent salary, benefits through 1199, and free parking!
