Overview: <p>Join our team and make a difference at a great community-based hospital, Montefiore New Rochelle. The hospital is part of the Montefiore Health System, a premier academic health system serving more than 3 million people living in the New York City region and Hudson Valley.</p> <p>We have a fantastic opportunity for a&nbsp;Full-Time Nursing Supervisor (Evening Shift)&nbsp;in our Montefiore New Rochelle Facility.</p>
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Managing effective patient flow for ED admissions and inpatient transfers, to meet Hospital throughput and maintain patient satisfaction.</li> <li>Coordinating and evaluating staffing assignments with Unit Managers to meet appropriate patient to RN ratio for the incoming shift.</li> <li>Troubleshooting hospital emergencies and responding to hospital and medical codes.</li> <li>Nursing Supervisor functions as the liaison between hospital management and clinical care.</li> <li>In coordination with interdepartmental teams, the Nursing Supervisor ensures that hospital operational standards are being met.</li> <li>Reports to Senior Management and escalates pertinent events.</li> <li>Assists patient and patient&rsquo;s family members in any unresolved patient care concerns.</li> <li>Acts as a clinical source to the healthcare team.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li>Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required. Master's Degree a plus.</li> <li>Valid NYS RN License.</li> <li>Prior experience in a leadership role.</li> <li>Organizational and Multitasking skills.</li> <li>Listening and verbal communication skills.</li> <li>Team building skills.</li> <li>Problem solving skills.</li> <li>Strong clinical background.</li> </ul> <br /> <p>We offer an excellent salary and benefits package along with free parking.
