Overview: For positions that have only a rate listed, the displayed rate is the hiring rate but could be subject to change based on shift differential, experience, education or other relevant factors.
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>The Registered Nurse, in collaboration with the Clinical Nurse Manager, is responsible for providing quality patient care by demonstrating clinical competence and participating in ongoing Performance Improvement.</li> <li>Provides professional nursing care utilizing the nursing process, with special attention to the special needs and behaviors of the total population.</li> <li>Manages the provision of patient care through integrating the functions of the Health Care Teams.</li> <li>Assumes responsibility for clinical leadership on the unit as assigned by the Clinical Nurse Manager.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li>Graduate of an accredited school of nursing Required.</li> <li>Ability to read, write and communicate in English.</li> <li>Demonstrates basic knowledge of nursing theory and practice.</li> <li>Knowledge of appropriate technology and practice standards for area of responsibility.</li> <li>Demonstrates sound clinical skills, understanding of the acute care process, standards of practice and positive communication skills.</li> <li>Registered Nurse New York - New York State Board of Nursing Required.</li> <li>BLS - American Heart Association Required.</li> </ul>
