Overview: <p>For positions that have only a rate listed, the displayed rate is the hiring rate but could be subject to change based on shift differential, experience, education or other relevant factors.</p> <p>&nbsp;<br />A diagnostic imaging technologist performs all required exams in diagnostic radiology.</p>
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Ensures high-quality patient care and adequate radiation protection at all times.</li> <li>When needed, he/she is required to provide coverage for both Newburgh and/or Cornwall campuses of SLCH.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li>Satisfactory completion of AMA approved school for Diagnostic Radiology Technology Required.</li> <li>1-3 years as a Radiologic Technologist Preferred.</li> <li>Technologist must be able to read, write and communicate in English.</li> <li>Must possess high degree of knowledge and understanding in services and technology.</li> <li>ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Required.</li> <li>Registered Radiologic Technologist - New York State Department of Health's Bureau of Environmental Radiation Protection Required.</li> <li>Temporary Permit to practice Diagnostic Radiography is acceptable for new graduates. This permit is only accepted up to 180 days after graduation Required.</li> </ul>
