Overview: <p>For positions that have only a rate listed, the displayed rate is the hiring rate but could be subject to change based on shift differential, experience, education or other relevant factors.</p>
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>The CRNA is an advanced practice Registered Nurse that is an active member of the Anesthesia team who can practice autonomously and under the supervision of an anesthesiologist.</li> <li>Delivers professional anesthesia services and support that are consistent with the strategic vision, goals, philosophy, and direction of the healthcare system.</li> <li>Provides care for patients at all acuity levels across the lifespan in a variety of settings for procedures including, but not limited to, surgical, obstetrical, diagnostic, therapeutic and pain management.</li> <li>Provides continuous vigilant observation of patients by monitoring the patient's physical reaction to sedatives, analgesics, and anesthetic agents and can treat any effects that these therapies may cause.</li> <li>Informs and asks for assistance from the supervising anesthesiologist for any adverse condition that may potentially threaten the safety of the patient under their care.</li> <li>Responsible for anesthesia equipment setup that is required prior to delivering patient care.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li>BSN Graduate of a nurse anesthesia educational program accredited by the Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Programs or its predecessor Required.</li> <li>1-3 years' Previous experience as a CRNA preferred, but recent graduate of an approved program will be considered.</li> <li>Ability to read, write and communicate in English.</li> <li>Demonstrates current competency in clinical responsibilities.</li> <li>Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist - National Board of Certification &amp; Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists Required, and</li> <li>Registered Nurse New York - New York State Board of Nursing Required, and</li> <li>BLS - American Heart Association Required.</li> <li>ACLS Required.</li> <li>PALS Required.</li> </ul> <br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br />Montefiore St. Luke's Cornwall is an equal employment opportunity employer.
