Responsibilities: <ul> <li>This position is accountable for the data integrity of the Trauma Program and ensures compliance with all regulatory entities governing trauma.</li> <li>Responsible for generating all metric driven and reportable statistics, ensuring new processes are&nbsp;measured, reporting statistical data to all required entities, maintaining Trauma Registry/PI databases.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <strong>Education/Training:</strong>&nbsp;<br /><br /> <ul> <li>Associate Degree required<em>;&nbsp;</em>Bachelor's Preferred.&nbsp;</li> <li>College coursework in a medical field of expertise,&nbsp;such as nursing, health information administration, or related field.&nbsp; Completion of the Trauma Registry Course, ICD-10 Course, AIS 2015 Course, and TNCC within 12 months of hire.&nbsp;</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <strong>Experience</strong>:&nbsp;<br /><br /> <ul> <li>Experience with medical records and abstracting data is required.&nbsp;</li> <li>Experience in determining applicable procedures and response time as would typically be accomplished in at least one year as Trauma Registry Specialist.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li> <li>Experience in quality management preferred.</li> <li>Knowledge of medical/technical/diagnostic/procedural terminology and clinical pathology.</li> <li>Knowledge of practices, pre-hospital care, emergency and discharge information and characteristics of trauma patients.&nbsp;</li> <li>Able to review and understand clinical information related to the patient&rsquo;s care.</li> <li>Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Access.</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <strong>Licensure, Registration or Certification:&nbsp;<br /><br /></strong> <ul> <li>Certified Specialist in Trauma Registrar Preferred<strong>.&nbsp;&nbsp;</strong></li> <li>New York State Registered Nurse License preferred<strong>.&nbsp;&nbsp;</strong></li> <li>TNCC and TCAR preferred.</li> </ul> <br /><br /><br /><strong>Montefiore St. Luke's Cornwall</strong>&nbsp;(MSLC) is a not-for-profit hospital dedicated to serving the health care needs of those in the Hudson Valley.
