Responsibilities: <ul> <li>A Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) technologist performs all required exams in the MRI Department while assuring high-quality patient care and adequate MR Safety protection at all times.&nbsp;</li> <li>The MRI Technologist must be responsible for On-Call duties and be available to respond within the timeframe outlined in the Radiology Policy and Procedure Guidelines. &nbsp;</li> <li>The MRI Technologist will also be required to perform intravascular contrast media injections as defined in Section 89.40 in Part 89 Practice of Radiologic Technology.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li>High school graduate or equivalent required.&nbsp;</li> <li>Ability to read, write, and communicate in English. &nbsp;</li> <li>Successful completion of formal training program in Magnetic Resonance Imaging.</li> <li>1 year of experience in MRI.&nbsp;</li> <li>Must possess high degree of knowledge and understanding in services and technology.</li> <li>Registered by the ARRT in MRI within 6 months of hire. &nbsp;</li> <li>Must be Diagnostic registered with certification to administer contrast media from New York State.</li> <li>Must be BLS certified from the American Heart Association.</li> </ul>
