Reporting to the Senior Project Manager, you will plan and oversee small to mid-sized, ongoing and new, relocation and reconfiguration projects. You will be accountable for the overall delivery of projects on time, on budget, and on scope.</span></p> <p><strong>Who you are</strong></p> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">You are an Intermediate Project Manager with PMP certification and several years of experience overseeing multiple facilities and space planning projects concurrently. You have a customer-service orientation and can apply creative solutions to complex problems. Responsibilities: <p><strong>As our new Project Manager, Renovations and Space Planning, you will: </strong></p> <ul> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Lead a project team. You will work closely with internal clients, interior designers, architects, engineers, contractors and other vendors to coordinate the design and interior construction of Motion Specialties store destinations including warehouse, office and retail workspaces. You will create task-based schedules for small, medium and large relocation and renovation projects using Microsoft Project. You will develop cost forecasts and track actual expenditures.</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Follow best practices. You will follow the guidelines of corporate design, furniture and signage.</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Manage stakeholders. You will build relationships and manage expectations, communications, escalations, feedback with executive sponsors, vendors, third-party partners. You will be aware of all interdependencies in your project delivery and ensure everyone is aware of the linkages.</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Complex problem solving. You will proactively take the initiative and the lead for identifying and resolving issues in the project delivery. You will clarify, identify, and track requirements and issues, remove barriers, resolve minor project issues and escalate to Senior PM where required.</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Report. You will lead the cross-discipline project conference call. You will prepare the issues agenda and distribute the minutes. You will prepare and present weekly project updates including status reporting and keeps the appropriate people such as the Senior PM, team members, senior management up to date.</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Manage third-party relationships. You will:</span></li> <ul> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Create RFP documentation for competitive bids on all contracts over $10k and present summarized cost comparisons with a recommendation for awarding the contracts.</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Request and issue vendor purchase orders and follow through to cheque payment and tracks P.O. numbers and payment installments in Excel spreadsheet format.</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Engage movers to assist with the relocation of Motion Specialties product, racking, furniture, IT equipment, MFD&rsquo;s and heavy warehouse equipment from one location to another or within the same location.</span></li> </ul> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Document. You will manage project closure initiatives including gathering and storing project documentation on the shared drive. You will archive project activities, deliverables, tools and findings for future projects.</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Travel. You will be on-site up to 20% of the time through our Canadian locations to oversee the start and the completion of each project and ensure quality assurance.</span></li> </ul>

You have a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field. You have strong financial analysis and project management skills. You have a PMP certification.</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">The experience. You have 5+ years of progressive end-to-end project management experience managing small to medium cross-functional project teams and integrated projects with a focus on renovation and relocation, facilities and space planning. You are an expert with MS Office Suite and Project tools. You are well-versed in the language and details of leases, contracts and construction practices. </span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">The analytical skills. You have highly refined problem solving skills and can efficiently remove roadblocks, presenting multiple end-result options. You have advanced quantitative skills and you are extremely organized and detail oriented. You can expertly create, track and report on key metrics.</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">The interpersonal capabilities. Your communication skills - written, verbal, presentation- are outstanding. You are comfortable talking to teams from the engineering level upwards to C-level executives. You can lead and inspire the work of multiple teams.</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">The project management skills. You have a confident personality and the intelligence to make well-balanced decisions. You can prioritize and keep your eye on multiple concurrent projects. You are passionate about project management principles and practices. You have extensive experience with project planning and scheduling, budget and forecasting, scope change and risk management. </span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">The responsiveness.
