Or, you may be a Service and Production Manager in another industry looking to jumpstart your career at a company with purpose. A continuous learner, you want to grow into a General Manager, Operations Manager and beyond under the guidance of an industry expert.</p> <p>This is an opportunity for someone who understands electrical and mechanical issues and repair requests. An empathetic listener and communicator, you are able to provide an outstanding customer experience for every Motion client. You are a Service and Production Manager who wants to go over and above to improve the status quo for your team and our clients.</p>
Responsibilities: <p><strong>What you will do</strong></p> <p>Our clients put their trust in Motion to ensure that their mobility devices are safe and functioning correctly. Our service technicians serve our clients by providing on-site and in-home repair and set-up for mobility devices, from walkers to wheelchairs to stair lifts. Your role, as their Service and Production Manager is to be on site 90% of the time, as you:</p> <ul> <li><em><strong>Lead.</strong></em>&nbsp;You will oversee our combined Production and Service Departments of Service Technicians. You will oversee their daily work, ensuring the highest level of detail and care is put into the build and repair of each piece of equipment. You will provide quality assurance and of-the-moment problem solving. You will develop a deep understanding of your team members, assessing their skills and assigning the best people to each build or service request. You will stay attuned to the needs of the market and ensure your team receives the training and mentorship they require to keep their skills current, meet their KPIs and be part of the Motion mission.</li> <li><em><strong>The Motion Customer Experience.&nbsp;</strong></em>Our Service and Production Managers are the driving force behind providing the Motion Customer Experience. You will develop and maintain relationships across teams as part of your focus to deliver value and timely service to our clients. You will ensure that our clients remain confident they made the right choice selecting Motion. Whether it be de-escalating a client situation or helping a customer choose the right mobility product, you will be there to help your team deliver on Motion&rsquo;s promise to make life accessible.</li> <li><em><strong>Train.</strong></em>&nbsp;You will play an integral part in onboarding new staff, working as a coach to help provide a smooth transition for new hires or internal role changes. Through ongoing training and mentorship, you will ensure your team has the tools they need to succeed in their daily tasks and deliver the Motion customer experience.</li> <li><em><strong>Collaborate.</strong></em>&nbsp;You will work closely with the management team to drive efficiencies, ensure policies are upheld and improve business processes to meet growing market demands. You will help us as we navigate this time of transformation, working side by side with your team and management.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <div class="page-body job-details"> <div class="container"> <div class="row"> <div class="col col-xs-7 job-description summary"> <div class="description"> <p><strong>What you bring</strong></p> <ul> <li><em><strong>Experience.</strong></em>&nbsp;You have experience working in operations, strong people management skills and expertise managing a team of field technicians. Exposure to or understanding of implementing a Six Sigma Lean environment is highly beneficial. You have a University or College degree in Business or related and relevant experience.</li> <li><em><strong>Technical Skills.</strong></em>&nbsp;You have experience or knowledge working in a mechanical environment, managing repairs, custom builds or other related tasks. Knowledge of mobility products and HME (Home Medical Equipment) would be considered an asset.</li> <li><em><strong>Communication.</strong></em>&nbsp;You have experience working in customer-facing roles and know how to work with customers to find the best solutions to fit their needs. You have outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal, and can explain your ideas and thoughts in a variety of ways to get your point across. You are comfortable providing feedback and following through to track improvement.</li> <li><em><strong>Empathy.&nbsp;</strong></em>To provide our clients with the best Motion customer experience, we need someone who can be empathetic to our client&rsquo;s needs and circumstances. You can navigate any situation in a friendly, professional and compassionate manner and manage service escalations as needed.</li> <li><em><strong>Additional&nbsp;</strong></em><em><strong>must have</strong></em><em><strong>&nbsp;requirements.&nbsp;</strong></em>You are able to lift up to fifty (50) pounds in order to move or repair equipment and devices. You have a valid Class 5 driver's license and clean driving record. You have a clean criminal background check and are bondable.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Why join?
