This is a greenfield opportunity to scope out new projects and play a critical role on a new team created in response to a company-wide, cross-country reorganization. This is the chance to introduce and implement a Lean mindset into the organization and establish a culture of continuous improvement. Your work may include:</p> <ul> <li>The simplification and standardization of inventory management and baseline inventory practices.</li> <li>A deep dive on services specifically around scheduling and invoicing.</li> <li>Shifting purchasing practices and processes</li> <li>Technology and process recommendations.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Who you are</strong></p> <p>You want to join a national organization undergoing an exciting period of transformation. Responsibilities: <p><strong>What you will do</strong></p> <ul> <li>Identify, plan, lead and implement key projects. You will own and drive process improvement projects with the goal of improving quality, reducing costs, increasing productivity and improving cycle time by reducing wasted time, rework, etc.</li> <li>Develop and coordinate the performance excellence vision. You will work closely with business leadership to develop key performance measurements and reporting. You will create team processes for optimizing results and deploy the performance improvement planning as defined by the Executive Team. You will achieve buy-in from all decision makers for the successful application of the plan.</li> <li>Be a role model. You will exemplify excellence in continuous improvement (CI). You will identify opportunity, develop sustainable Lean targets and embed practices within the business. You will work with leadership to create an environment for learning, team goal alignment and accountability removing barriers to these objectives.</li> <li>Report. You will liaise with finance and other members of the organization in assessing, tracking and reporting the financial benefit of a Performance Excellence project. You will provide management with project status updates, feedback, and appropriate reporting on key responsibilities and objectives.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <p><strong>What you bring</strong></p> <ul> <li>The education. You have a Bachelor Degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Finance or Business paired with practical financial and business acumen.</li> <li>The Lean expertise. You have Lean, CI, Six Sigma &ndash; Green or Black belt certification and a proven record of: <ul> <li>Business optimization and process improvement.</li> <li>Business transformation.</li> <li>Continuous improvement process- in quality, sales, distribution and operations.</li> <li>Cost savings.</li> </ul> </li> <li>The technical skills. You are comfortable using the Microsoft Office Suite of products; data analysis and internet mining tools.</li> <li>The analytical and collaborative approach. You can foster a positive working environment, encouraging adoption and buy-in of continuous improvement initiatives. You have outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal, and can relay complex concepts to audiences at any level, gaining trust and nurturing a collaborative team approach. You are comfortable providing feedback and following through to track improvement.</li> <li>Additional must-have requirements. You have a valid passport, G Class driver's license and clean driving record. You have a clean criminal background check, are bondable and flexible to travel throughout the country as needed.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Why join?
