Our team in Cornwall is seeking a part-time Respiratory Therapist with a health sciences background and some hands-on knowledge to join them in serving the community with a valuable service. This is a flexible opportunity, requiring 24 hours per week and the comfort to travel locally. You will travel to personal client residences, long-term care facilities, and retirement homes to deliver and demonstrate oxygen setups, based on physician’s prescription details, and follow up regularly.

Responsibilities: <p><strong>What you will do</strong></p> <ul> <li><strong>Collaborate and plan. </strong>You will work with internal stakeholders to create and roll out a Respiratory Services (Oxygen and CPAP) marketing plan. You will engage with the Family Health Teams with outcomes aimed at developing awareness of Motion Specialties services.</li> <li><strong>Consult and advise.</strong> You will build relationships with health care service providers, customers, and other referral sources in the community. You will suggest and coordinate equipment purchases, prepare quotes, make presentations, and demonstrate the application of products.</li> <li><strong>Ensure quality control. </strong>You will participate in all training related to Infection Prevention and Control and STEP programs and make decisions accordingly.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li> <li><strong>Expand your knowledge and network. </strong>You will participate in workshops and education sessions to stay current on product knowledge. You will attend conferences and exhibits to promote the company&rsquo;s products and services and provide information to interested parties.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li> <li><strong>Be accountable.</strong> You will maintain, secure, and track all stock equipment on loan and supplies used for demonstration.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <p><strong>What you bring</strong></p> <ul> <li><em><strong>Education and experience. </strong></em>You have a Health Sciences degree or diploma from a post-secondary institution, and ideally, you are a certified RRT or RN. You have direct experience providing recommendations, information, and advice to healthcare professionals and clients on appropriate and relevant products. You have an understanding of various disabilities and their functional limitations.&nbsp;</li> <li><em><strong>Communication. </strong></em>You love building relationships with people. You know how to work with customers to find the best solutions to fit their needs, considering their physical limitations and independence. You are comfortable making presentations, conducting demonstrations, and communicating on the phone, by email, or in person.</li> <li><em><strong>Flexibility and organization.</strong></em> You are comfortable entering personal residences to determine and set up oxygen and CPAP needs. You can work up to 24 hours a week on a flexible schedule.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li> <li><em><strong>Empathy and respect.</strong> </em>To provide our clients with the best Motion customer experience, we need someone who can be empathetic to our client&rsquo;s needs and circumstances. You can navigate any situation in a friendly, professional, and compassionate manner.</li> <li><em><strong>Technical Skills. </strong></em>You are proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and navigating databases.</li> <li><strong><em>Additional must-have requirements.</em> </strong>You have a clean criminal background check and are bondable.
