Overview: At NJM Insurance Group, a top-rated insurance company, our Workers&rsquo; Compensation Legal department is currently interviewing for a Paralegal.&nbsp; This position is based at our West Trenton headquarters.&nbsp; We are looking for someone who values diversity, seeks development opportunities, proactively shares knowledge and expertise, and is receptive to new ideas.&nbsp; The ideal candidate is someone who can demonstrate flexibility in their role, readily adapt to change, and pursue challenging tasks through teamwork and collaboration.&nbsp;
Responsibilities: <ul> <li> <p dir="LTR">Review and respond to Subpoenas and HIPAAs.</p> </li> <li> <p dir="LTR">Assist management in data analysis and report management.</p> </li> <li> <p dir="LTR">Conduct legal research and summarize case law.</p> </li> <li> <p dir="LTR">Prepare documents, pleadings, motions, legal memoranda and briefs, certifications and affidavits.</p> </li> <li> <p dir="LTR">Provide support to staff attorneys from litigation inception to trial.</p> </li> <li> <p dir="LTR">Provide litigation assistance for regional claims.</p> </li> <li> <p dir="LTR">Provide assistance in civil claims actions and coverage.</p> </li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li> <p dir="LTR">Paralegal Certificate is required (from an ABA approved program is preferred).</p> </li> <li> <p dir="LTR">Proficiency in accurately organizing and preparing legal documents.</p> </li> <li> <p dir="LTR">Strong ability to summarize and analyze legal documents and medical records.</p> </li> <li> <p dir="LTR">Conduct, summarize and analyze investigative and/or legal research.</p> </li> <li> <p dir="LTR">Experience working with laws and statutes governing workers' compensation litigation and civil tort litigation in multiple jurisdictions, including but not limited to NJ, NY, PA, CT, DE, MD.</p> </li> <li> <p dir="LTR">Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with strong attention to detail and customer service.</p> </li> <li> <p dir="LTR">Excellent organizational, prioritization and time management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities efficiently.</p> </li> <li> <p dir="LTR">Must have the ability to prioritize and proactively manage a large case load.</p> </li> <li> <p dir="LTR">Ability to work independently.</p> </li> </ul> <br />
