Overview: NJM&rsquo;s West Trenton Finance Department is seeking an Analyst, Accounting Systems to join its Business Process Unit (BPU). &nbsp;This position will be responsible for representing the department on business and technology solution efforts, including participating in requirements elicitation, analysis, and testing activities. &nbsp;This role will work in collaboration with BPUs across the organization as well as Information Technology, the Program Management Office, and other NJM departments.&nbsp; The official NJM job title is&nbsp;Business Technical Analyst.<br /> <div id="gtx-trans" style="position: absolute; left: -234px; top: 26px;">&nbsp;</div>
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Represents the department on business and technology projects.</li> <li>Provide in-depth knowledge on dependencies and interactions of Workday Financials for the various business teams you will support, initial focus being General Ledger, Financial Reporting, and Business Planning &amp; Analysis.</li> <li>Works collaboratively with other BPU teams on enterprise projects impacting the department.</li> <li>Provides technical support for monthly close process including key reconciliations.</li> <li>Participates in requirements elicitation, analysis, and testing activities for the business technology solutions and or data/reporting efforts and prepares appropriate documentation for each phase.</li> <li>Writes and executes test plans and scenarios in support of business and technology projects, including integrations with other systems. &nbsp;Participate in cross-functional testing initiatives.</li> <li>Conducts post-deployment smoke testing activities to support technology deployments.</li> <li>Assists in providing information for cost-benefit analysis (CBA) for project and process initiatives.</li> <li>Identifies and replicate issues; understand the priority, impact, frequency, and severity. &nbsp;Escalate defects and production issues for remediation. &nbsp;Track issues to resolution.</li> <li>Assists in the prioritization of defects, enhancements, and improvement requests.</li> <li>Works with department management to evaluate metrics and define business process and solution improvements.</li> <li>Prepares training documentation and deliver training to department staff.</li> <li>Facilitates meetings with the department and other business units, this includes building strong relationships and providing excellent customer service to internal/external business partners.</li> </ul> <div id="gtx-trans" style="position: absolute; left: -24px; top: 26px;">&nbsp;</div>
Requirements: <ul> <li>Bachelor&rsquo;s Degree required in Accounting, Finance, or Information Systems</li> <li>Minimum of 3-5 years work experience with finance or accounting&nbsp;</li> <li>Established expertise in financial accounting (STAT preferred), financial reporting, and/or business planning &amp; analysis&nbsp;</li> <li>Experience implementing financial processes and systems and developing end user training preferred</li> <li>Experience Implementing Workday Financials (client-side or as a consultant) is preferred</li> <li>Strong organizational and time management skills</li> <li>Demonstrated ability to adapt to frequent and unexpected changes</li> <li>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills</li> <li>Demonstrated ability to write and communicate clearly, concisely, and in a manner that connects to a wide audience (i.e., technical, non-technical staff)</li> <li>Property and Casualty Insurance industry knowledge a plus</li> </ul> <div id="gtx-trans" style="position: absolute; left: -61px; top: -20px;">&nbsp;</div>
