Overview: Our West Trenton General Claims Legal Department is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented individual for their Litigation Processor opening.
Responsibilities: <br /> <ul> <li>Provide support to staff attorneys in processing complaints.</li> <li>Provide support to the PIP Litigation team in processing PIP arbitration demands.</li> <li>Receive, analyze and process complaints, determine type of lawsuit and prepare investigation file accordingly. Assign trail adjuster, submit complaint to staff attorney for review.</li> <li>Process various types of legal letters to defense firms and insureds.</li> <li>Maintain Legal Exchange (electronic billing site) by creating matters, closing matter and processing attorney invoices for payment.</li> <li>Telephone communications with insureds, plaintiff counsel and defense firms regarding the status of legal pleadings.</li> <li>Process and apply recovery checks to the appropriate claim.</li> <li>Update Claim Center to reflect all litigation information.</li> <li>Process incoming mail for distribution to the appropriate staff attorney.</li> <li>Review the investigation file material, select appropriate information and electronically send to defense firms.</li> <li>Request additional underwriting documentation such as declaration sheets, policy jackets and police reports.</li> <li>Maintain bi-weekly, monthly and yearly reports for staff attorney and manager review.</li> <li>Process vendor invoices for payment through Claim Center financial system.<br /> </li> </ul>
Requirements: <br /> <ul> <li>Strong organizational skills and the ability to meet deadlines in a high volume environment.</li> <li>The ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.</li> <li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills.</li> <li>Computer knowledge and strong data entry skills.</li> <li>The ability to manage time and tasks effectively and efficiently.</li> <li>Must have good typing skills.</li> <li>Strong knowledge/experience of MS Word, Excel and Outlook.</li> <li>Skilled in problem solving and as well as decision making.</li> <li>Minimum High School Diploma or GED equivalent.</li> </ul>
