Overview: <p dir="LTR">There has never been a better time to join NJM!&nbsp;With a nationally ranked reputation for outstanding customer service and a history that spans more than a century.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <p dir="LTR">Our Personal Lines department is currently interviewing for part time associates to answer and respond to inbound telephone calls from current policyholders and claimants, providing the superior customer service we are known for. Formal in-house training is provided. Come see what all the excitement is about!</p> <p dir="LTR">This position will begin May 2022. The hours for the position will flex Monday through Saturday and may be scheduled around a student&rsquo;s academic obligations in an associate&rsquo;s, bachelor&rsquo;s, or master&rsquo;s program. The average hours for the position are <span class="WFN2">approximately&nbsp;15</span> to 20 hours per week. This is a great opportunity to gain valuable work experience in the insurance industry while working toward completing your college education!</p>
Responsibilities: <ul> <li dir="LTR">Deliver a high-quality customer experience while interacting with customers, administering transactions, and servicing as first contact with policyholders who have experienced and Auto or Homeowner loss.</li> <li dir="LTR">Provide procedurally accurate, effective, and independent response to existing business inquiries related to Personal Lines Insurance.</li> <li dir="LTR">Accurately receive and respond to the first reports of an insured's losses and follow through by acting upon the claim, should it require attention.</li> <li dir="LTR">Demonstrate effective time management to achieve performance goals, which include completing necessary follow ups and workflow transactions in a timely and efficient manner</li> <li dir="LTR">Perform additional duties within the department as needed.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills</li> <li>Working knowledge of computers including accurate keyboarding skills</li> <li>Superior listening skills</li> <li>Strong multi-tasking ability</li> <li>Previous customer service experience is required</li> <li>Must have or be able to obtain and maintain a home high-speed internet connection</li> <li>Must have a home workspace which is free of noise and distraction</li> <li>Working toward an associate&rsquo;s, bachelor&rsquo;s, or master&rsquo;s degree</li> <li>Bilingual skills are a plus</li> </ul>
