Overview: <p>Do you want to join a dynamic group that contributes to the overall success of process improvement within the organization? NJM&rsquo;s West Trenton Workers Compensation Department (WCC) is seeking a Business Process Analyst, Sr. who supports the business process improvement, business continuity and technology initiatives for the Workers Compensation Claims business unit.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <p>The focus of this position is to work closely with the business units and serve as a liaison to gain in-depth understanding of business strategy, processes, services, roadmap, and the context in which the business operates. This role will be key to understanding, conducting analysis, testing and identifying capabilities needed to address business challenges and improvements (BPI). &nbsp;</p>
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Comprehensive understanding of Business Process Management techniques (process analysis, requirement elicitation, business process improvement methodologies).</li> <li>Works collaboratively within cross-functional teams.</li> <li>Performs as a business lead on requirement elicitation, analysis, and testing activities for business process improvement initiatives.&nbsp; &nbsp;Prepares required documentation for these efforts.&nbsp;</li> <li>Develops and defines complex business requirements and test scenarios.&nbsp; Leads post implementation testing activities to ensure processes are working as designed.</li> <li>Ability to evaluate department metrics and lead business process improvement change efforts to meet department goals.</li> <li>Collaborate closely with developers to implement the requirements, provide necessary guidance to testers during QA.</li> <li>Performs root cause analysis to determine process or solution deficiencies</li> <li>Identify improvement opportunities (Proactive and Reactive)</li> <li>Demonstrates practical application of business analytics, analysis, and business process improvement methodologies&nbsp;</li> <li>Prepares training documentation, coordinates, and delivers training for department staff</li> <li>Maintain departments process flows and ensures completeness of the documentation.</li> <li>Provides updates to management and Departments that are impacted by new processes</li> <li>Understand and negotiate needs and expectations for multiple stakeholders.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li>Applicant must have solid&nbsp; decision-making and time management skills, as well as the ability to multi-task, while meeting deadlines</li> <li>Must have excellent communication skills (verbal and written)</li> <li>Applicant must have solid analytical, problem solving and organizational skills</li> <li>Must be a team player and demonstrate the ability to work in a collaborative environment</li> <li>Must have an understanding of business analysis and business process improvement methodologies</li> <li>Bachelor&rsquo;s Degree and/or equivalent experience preferred</li> <li>Some travel may be required to NJM&rsquo;s Hammonton and Parsippany locations</li> <li>Proficient in MS Office skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio</li> </ul> <p><strong>Preferred:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Knowledge of the following systems a plus: ClaimCenter, OnBase, xPression and PolicyCenter</li> <li>Experience in agile methodologies a plus</li> </ul>
