Overview: Based in our West Trenton (Ewing), New Jersey corporate office, The<strong> Personal Lines </strong><strong>Insurance Product Development Manager </strong>(the formal NJM title is: Senior Associate Insurance Product Manager) will be accountable for making product decisions and recommendations for the assigned Line of Business, seeing product changes from ideation to implementation. In this newly created position, you will collaborate with members of NJM senior leadership and Personal Lines State Managers on a regular basis. In this mission critical role, the successful candidate will be an integral part of the future of NJM and Personal Lines as they drive the business from a product development standpoint.
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Drive countrywide product growth and profitability for assigned lines of business</li> <li>Proactively identify, evaluate, and recommend new product opportunities for assigned lines of business</li> <li>Lead implementation of new products and enhancements to existing products</li> <li>Develop both short and long-term project roadmaps for each product</li> <li>Stay current on industry developments and trends as well as the regulatory environments</li> <li>Develop strong working relationships with Actuarial, Underwriting, Claims, Contact Center, BP&amp;A (Finance), Marketing and Business Process (BPU)</li> <li>Provide support for financial planning and forecasting</li> </ul>
Requirements: <p><strong>Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Strong data analytics capabilities along with a natural problem-solving curiosity</li> <li>Advanced Excel and database skills; competent in other MS Office software</li> <li>Committed to continuously learning, product development or management skills, etc.</li> <li>Excellent and effective verbal and written communication and presentation skills</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Education and Experience:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Minimum 4-year college degree or equivalent; Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial, Data Analytics, Economics, Finance, or other quantitative business degree preferred</li> <li>Minimum 5-year work experience in a role such as actuarial or insurance product analytics with increasing responsibilities</li> <li>A minimum of 1 to 2 successful years within a Product Development role within the property and casualty insurance industry</li> <li>Must have excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills</li> </ul> <p><br /><strong>Compensation and Benefits:</strong><br /><br />The estimated salary range for the position is: $116,000 to $146,000. The salary is commensurate with relevant experience and credentials.
