Overview: <p>Location: <strong>NJM - West Trenton</strong></p> <p>NJM's Administrative Services department is seeking a Business Technical Analyst to join its Business Process Unit (BPU). This position will be responsible for representing the department on business and technology solution efforts, including participating in requirements elicitation, analysis, and testing activities. This role will work in collaboration with BPUs across the organization as well as Information Technology, the Program Management Office, and other NJM departments.</p>
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Represent the department on business and technology projects.</li> <li>Work collaboratively with other BPU teams on enterprise projects impacting the department.</li> <li>Participate in requirements elicitation, analysis, and testing activities for the business technology solutions and or data/reporting efforts.</li> <li>Prepare documentation for these efforts such as requirements, test plan/test cases, reports, presentations, and deployment memos. Keep documents stored (and accessible) and update them as needed.</li> <li>Write and execute test plans and scenarios in support of business and technology projects, including integrations with other systems. Participate in cross-functional testing initiatives.</li> <li>Conduct post-deployment smoke testing activities to support technology deployments.</li> <li>Assist in providing information for cost-benefit analysis (CBA) development for project and process initiatives.</li> <li>Perform and document root cause analysis to determine process or solution deficiencies. Provide mitigation strategies and solutions to reduce the impact of the issue.</li> <li>Identify and replicate issues (understand the impact, frequency, and severity). Escalate defects and production issues to the appropriate parties for remediation. Track issues to resolution.</li> <li>Assist in the prioritization of defects, enhancements, and improvement requests.</li> <li>Work with department management to evaluate metrics and define business process and solution improvements.</li> <li>Prepare training documentation and deliver training to department staff.</li> <li>Document &ldquo;current state&rdquo; and &ldquo;future state&rdquo; processes using various tools, including Microsoft Visio.</li> <li>Work to enhance knowledge of processes and workflows within the department.</li> <li>Facilitate meetings with the department and other business areas (e.g., Information Technology, external business units).</li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree preferred.</li> <li>Two to five years of experience in an analytical role is required (e.g., business process, project management, software development, and/or analytical techniques and practices).</li> <li>Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, including the ability to effectively prioritize work activities.</li> <li>Demonstrated ability to adapt to frequent and unexpected changes.</li> <li>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.</li> <li>Demonstrated ability to write and communicate clearly, concisely, and in a manner that connects to a wide audience (i.e., technical, non-technical staff).</li> <li>Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite: PowerPoint, Word, and Excel (including some knowledge of pivot tables, formulas, macros) is required.</li> <li>Knowledge of Microsoft Visio preferred.</li> <li>Experience with outgoing and incoming mail solutions is a plus.</li> <li>Property and Casualty Insurance industry knowledge is a plus.</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Salary Range:</strong> $69,000-88,000.
