Overview: At NJM Insurance Group, a top-rated insurance company, our Workers&rsquo; Compensation Legal department is currently interviewing for a Sr. Legal Administrative Assistant. &nbsp;This position is based at our Parsippany office. &nbsp;We are looking for someone who values diversity, seeks opportunities to advance development, proactively shares knowledge and expertise, and is receptive to new ideas. &nbsp;The ideal candidate is someone who can demonstrate flexibility in their role, readily adapt to change, and willing to pursue challenging tasks through teamwork and collaboration.
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Prepare and file Claim Petition Answers, Motions, Briefs, Certifications, and Affidavits</li> <li>Prepare and respond to Discovery Demands, Subpoenas and HIPAAs</li> <li>Support Attorneys in day to day management of litigated files</li> <li>Provide litigation assistance for Regional Claims</li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li>A minimum of 3 years in a legal support capacity; Workers&rsquo; Compensation or otherwise</li> <li>Ability to accurately organize and prepare legal documents</li> <li>Ability to coordinate physician exams; identifying and compiling appropriate pleadings and medical records; and witness/physician testimony in line with applicable jurisdictional laws and statutes</li> <li>Strong verbal and written communication skills, with strong attention to detail and customer service</li> <li>Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities efficiently</li> <li>Must have the ability to prioritize and proactively manage a large caseload</li> <li>Ability to work independently, and collaboratively</li> <li>Experience working with laws and statutes governing workers' compensation litigation and civil tort litigation in multiple jurisdictions preferred (including but not limited to NJ, NY, PA, CT, DE, MD)</li> <li>Electronic filing experience preferred</li> </ul> <br />NJM is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
