Team members are offered a competitive compensation package and benefits including: a 401k plan, health coverage, a generous paid time off plan, and much more!</p> <p><br />NJM's General Accounting department is seeking a Business Process Analyst to join its Business Process Unit (Business Technical Analyst is the official NJM Title.&nbsp; This individual will be responsible for coordinating departmental business and technology efforts and supporting the enterprise projects impacting the department.</p>
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Represents the department in cross departmental efforts and works collaboratively within cross functional teams to address department needs.</li> <li>Works with other Business Process Units on enterprise projects impacting the department.</li> <li>Participates in requirement elicitation, analysis and testing activities for business technology solutions.</li> <li>Prepares required documentation for these efforts, including requirement specifications for system changes and reports.</li> <li>Conducts user acceptance testing in accordance with test plans and scenarios.</li> <li>Monitors system performance and reports.</li> <li>Analyzes and investigates data quality issues impacting financial reporting.</li> <li>Completes reconciliations of system reports.</li> <li>Performs root cause analysis to determine process or solution deficiencies.</li> <li>Escalates defects and production issues for remediation.</li> <li>Evaluates department metrics and defines business process and or solution improvements.</li> <li>Prepares training documentation, coordinates and delivers training for department staff.</li> <li>Works with accounting staff to research statutory or regulatory updates are evaluated and implemented to financial reporting.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <br /> <ul> <li>Bachelor&rsquo;s Degree required (Finance or Accounting is preferred.)</li> <li>Two to five years of experience with business process, project management and analytical techniques and practices.</li> <li>Proficient computer skills with working knowledge of Excel, Word, Visio.</li> <li>Experience with SQL and/or PeopleSoft Financials is a plus.</li> <li>Ability to multi-task and handle multiple projects concurrently.</li> <li>Strong analytical skills and problem-solving capabilities.</li> <li>Excellent written and communication skills.</li> <li>Strong organizational and time management skills.</li> <li>Property and Casualty Insurance experience is a plus.</li> </ul>
