Overview: Do you want to join a dynamic group of individuals that contributes to the overall success of process improvement within the organization? NJM Insurance Group&rsquo;s West Trenton General Claims Department is seeking a&nbsp;Sr. Business Analyst, Technical&nbsp; who will lead large, technology driven Claim's projects, investigate and lead business process improvement iniatives as well as support business continuity and catastrophe&nbsp;management for the business unit within the Claims Department.&nbsp;&nbsp; This highly motivated and driven individual will be able to exercise their creativity and decision making skills by serving as a liaison within the organization; conduct analysis, driving requirements elicitation, testing and identifying Business Process Improvement (BPI) opportunities and assisting in meeting the goals and objectives of the Department as well as the Company.&nbsp; Please note, this is a Business Process and Analysis position that has technical elements to the job responsibilities.
Responsibilities: <strong>Job Responsibilities:</strong><br /> <ul> <li>Participate in project efforts for the General Claims Department and serves as a business lead for General Claims on cross departmental efforts. Works collaboratively within cross functional teams to address department and product owner business needs.</li> <li>Performs as a business lead and Product Owner&nbsp;on requirement elicitation, analysis and testing activities for business technology solutions and prepare required documentation for these efforts and keeps accurate records and documentation.</li> <li>Ability to write and execute UAT test plans and business process scenarios in support of technology projects and integrations with other systems.&nbsp; Participate in cross-functional testing and smoke test efforts as part of production deployments.</li> <li>Ability to identify impacts to department processes when there is an issue with system performance. Ability to prioritize defects and enhancements and process improvement requests. Performs root cause analysis to determine process deficiencies. Ability to track issues to resolution.</li> <li>Assist in providing information for cost benefit analysis for project and process initiatives and perform and document root cause analysis to determine process or solution deficiencies.&nbsp;</li> <li>Ability to lead or coordinate interdepartmental activities, ensuring that the department needs are represented for project planning and implementation.</li> <li>Identify Key Performance Indicators, metric and measures that will drive success.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <p><strong>Required Qualifications and Experience:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree required or two years of experience in an Analytical role, from a Business perspective</li> <li>3-5 years of experience with Process re-engineering initiatives or Process Improvement, project management principles, business analysis and analytical techniques and practices.</li> <li>1-3 years&rsquo; Business Experience (Non-IT related) preferably within the P&amp;C Insurance Industry</li> <li>Insurance industry knowledge, preferred P&amp;C claims experience.</li> <li>Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects.</li> <li>Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; Power Point, Word, Excel (including some knowledge of pivot tables, formulas, macros) and Visio required.</li> <li>Excellent communication and documentation skills to provide project status and updates to department management.</li> <li>Knowledge of Claims Processes and ability to document and update process maps in Visio.</li> <li>Ability to prepare training documentation and conduct training sessions.</li> <li>Ability to evaluate department metrics and define process and/or solution improvements.</li> <li>AIC, CPCU or other claims designations are helpful but not required</li> <li>Some travel may be required to NJM&rsquo;s Hammonton and Parsippany locations</li> </ul> <strong>Preferred:</strong><br /> <ul> <li>1 year demonstrated Commercial Lines Experience, Commercial Auto and General Liability in multiple states (licensing and settlement procedures)</li> <li>Understanding of policy coverages and endorsements for all insurance LOBs</li> <li>Guidewire/ClaimCenter Experience</li> <li>Ability to create staffing models</li> <li>Demonstrated leadership skills and a drive to lead others</li> </ul>
