Overview: NJM's Cash Management department is seeking a Business Technical Analyst to join its Business Process Team. This individual will be responsible for coordinating departmental business and technology efforts and supporting the enterprise projects impacting the department.
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Coordinates project initiatives and represent the department in cross-departmental efforts by working collaboratively within cross-functional teams to address department needs. Works with other Business Process Units on enterprise projects impacting the department.</li> <li>Participate in requirement elicitation, analysis, mapping and testing activities for the business technology solutions and or data/reporting efforts</li> <li>Participates in requirement elicitation, analysis and testing activities for business technology solutions. Prepares required documentation for these efforts. Conducts user acceptance testing in accordance with test plans and scenarios.</li> <li>Creates and runs SQL queries by selecting data elements from the various financial systems and filtering/sorting the data in order to send to the requested audience</li> <li>Monitors system performance and reports. Analyzes and investigates data quality issues impacting the department. Completes reconciliations of system generated reports. Performs root cause analysis to determine process or solution deficiencies. Escalates defects and production issues for remediation. Track issues to resolution.</li> <li>Works with department management to evaluate metrics and define business process and solution improvements. Prepares training documentation, coordinates and delivers training for department staff.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li>Bachelor&rsquo;s Degree required</li> <li>Two to five years of experience with business process improvements, project management principles and analytical techniques and practices.</li> <li>Minimum of 1-3 years of demonstrated experience in creating and writing complex SQL queries reporting business processes</li> <li>Minimum of 1-3 years of demonstrated experience in creating and writing Microsoft VBA Excel and Word-based applications</li> <li>Ability to multi-task and handle multiple projects concurrently.</li> <li>Strong analytical skills and problem-solving capabilities.</li> <li>Excellent written and communication skills.</li> <li>Strong organizational and time management skills.</li> <li>Experience with Guidewire and or PeopleSoft Financials is a plus.</li> <li>Property and Casualty Insurance experience is a plus.
