Overview: <strong>Req. No.: R0001743</strong><br /><br />Identify, define, and document business processes and user requirements to be supported by The National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine's (NASEM) information technology services and tools. Serve as a liaison between business and information technology teams by facilitating communication and determining objectives that align with stated and unstated business needs. This role will serve as liaison between users and technical staff to optimize NASEM&rsquo;s adoption and utilization Microsoft 365 and related technologies.<br /><br />Applies specific professional and technical knowledge to perform assignments that are broadly defined and require judgment and creativity to complete. Independently solves a full range of problems requiring the identification and analysis of complex variables. Takes action to solve problems/issues that routinely arise in areas of assigned responsibility but may receive guidance or expertise from higher-level staff on more complex problems. Establishes processes/procedures to ensure the effective and efficient operation of function. May provide work direction to lower level employees.
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Develop, socialize, and optimize the capabilities and advantages of the Microsoft 365 platform to support NASEM&rsquo;s lines of business.</li> <li>Obtain a deep understanding of relevant business area(s) to be able to recommend solutions and build high-quality requirements.</li> <li>Use a variety of techniques to understand business requirements, such as interviews, workshops, surveys, site visits, and storyboards.</li> <li>Shape business requirements by making recommendations and suggesting alternatives to proposed solutions.</li> <li>Understand technical options, limitations, costs, and risks. Communicate tradeoffs to business partners and work with them to shape requirements accordingly.</li> <li>Translate conceptual user requirements into clear, detailed functional requirements.</li> <li>Work with business and delivery teams to prioritize requirements.</li> <li>Help resolve competing priorities between stakeholder groups by facilitating stakeholder discussions and escalate issues where appropriate.</li> <li>Manage requirements scoping throughout the delivery process.</li> <li>Create artifacts as appropriate, including business case documentation, scope documentation, and process flows.</li> <li>Support delivery teams as they develop, test, and deploy solutions.</li> <li>Review delivery team output to ensure requirements are correctly interpreted; define and execute test cases.</li> <li>Document current processes and models to understand inefficiencies or gaps.</li> <li>Identify and assist in prioritizing opportunities to streamline business processes.</li> <li>Promote a collaborative team environment and provide mentorship to staff.</li> </ul> <br />NONESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES<br /> <ul> <li>Related duties and special projects as assigned.</li> </ul>

General direction is provided.<br /><br /><br /><strong>Compensation:</strong> The National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine support equity, fairness, and transparency in our compensation programs. An estimated compensation range for this position is $85,040 - $116,930. Compensation offered to the selected candidate will be based on the candidate&rsquo;s relevant knowledge, skills, and work experience, commensurate with compensation of current employees in comparable positions with similar knowledge, skills, and work experience, and subject to budget parameters. Note it is not typical for a candidate to be hired at the higher end of the range.</p>
