Responsibilities: <ul> <li>You will practice in an environment where the emphasis is on professional practice and customer satisfaction.</li> <li>Using your clinical expertise, you will, in collaboration with the IDHCT, be responsible for patients within any clinical area of hospital including admitted patients within the Emergency Department.</li> <li>You will also provide support to all Oak Valley Health sites including RCC. In addition, you will utilize your demonstrated clinical leadership skills, well-developed analytical, problem-solving, delegation and interpersonal skills to assist you in the provision of quality patient care.</li> <li>You will be accountable for the development of comprehensive patient care plans and patient education plans, which reflect your ongoing assessment focusing on the patient's goals.</li> <li>Your excellent clinical leadership skills will assist you in working with the Interdisciplinary Health Care Team in the further development of programs to enhance and support patient care.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li>Minimum 2 years of recent acute medicine nursing experience required.</li> <li>Graduate from a recognized Registered Practical Nursing two-year diploma program.</li> <li>Current RPN registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario.</li> <li>Experience in the LTC environment preferred.</li> <li>Current BCLS certification.</li> <li>Excellent organizational skills with an ability to set priorities.</li> <li>Critical thinking and prioritization skills required.</li> <li>Excellent organizational skills and ability to problem solve with the team.</li> <li>Experience with patient health teaching.</li> <li>Demonstrate competency in a variety of skills including (but not limited to), intramuscular injections, intravenous therapy initiation and discontinuation.</li> <li>Demonstrate knowledge of IPAC practice and following outbreak protocols.</li> <li>Demonstrate adherence to the organization's code of conduct.</li> <li>Advance Physical Assessment Skill is required.</li> <li>Basic computer skills and Point Click Care experience is an asset.</li> <li>Knowledge of community resources.</li> <li>Excellent attendance and discipline free record required.</li> </ul> <br /><br /> <p><strong>Who we are:</strong></p> <p>Oak Valley Health is one of Ontario&rsquo;s leading community healthcare <span class="WOY2">organizations.&nbsp;Across</span> our two sites (Markham and Uxbridge) and Reactivation Care Centre (RCC), we provide high quality, patient-centred care to more than 468,000 patients each year.
