The successful candidate will be responsible for both clerical and receptionist duties as well as patient registration. Although the primary location is the NICU you will be an integral part of a team of Unit Secretaries and therefore will be trained to work in all areas of the Childbirth and Children's Program.<br /><br /></p> <p><strong>Work Schedule:</strong></p> <p>The successful candidate will work Monday to Friday 0900-1700. Please note, schedules may change based on departmental needs. Please note schedules may change due to operational needs.</p> <p><strong>Compensation:</strong></p> <p>CUP C03 &nbsp;Range:</p>
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>The clerical aspect of the role includes: patient registration, filing, recording, organizing and entering physician orders into the computer, photocopying, faxing documents, arranging patient transfers, reordering supplies as needed.</li> <li>The successful candidate will have demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, work within a team environment, set priorities and multi task proficiently.</li> <li>The receptionist aspect of the role includes: receiving visitors, patients and/or hospital personnel on the department, answering and directing telephone calls to the appropriate personnel, scheduling appointments and giving information related to patient care as authorized by a Registered Nurse.</li> <li>This wole will also support payroll and timekeeping.</li> </ul>
