The department is located at the Markham site but provides support to all sites of the corporation. Reporting to the Chief Information Officer, the Project Manager will oversee and be accountable for the implementation of information technology projects as Oak Valley Health&nbsp;engages internal and community stakeholders regarding the ongoing modernization of our information technology systems. Working with the project and medical teams, this would include strategies and plans for communication, orientation, training and change adaption.&nbsp;<br /><br /></p> <p><strong>Work schedule:</strong></p> <p>Monday to Friday, day shifts.</p> <p>Primarily onsite at 381 Church St., Markham, Ontario, with some travel as needed to Uxbridge.</p> <p>Possibility to work remote 40%.</p> <p>Please note schedules may change due to operational needs.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Compensation:</strong></p> <p>BAND G</p> <p>Range: $47.86 - $58.77</p>
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Coordinating the development of program requirements for new projects including identifying functional requirements.</li> <li>Provide project management support and lead teams in implementation of various information technology solutions.</li> <li>Analyze needs of stakeholders and recommend and implement process and system changes.</li> <li>Design, develop, implement and manage change deliverables that will enable impacted users to successfully transition from the current state to the future state of the information technology system implementation.</li> <li>Manage risk and mitigating strategies.</li> <li>Accountable for quality, scope, schedule and costs related to the project.</li> <li>Recommends corrective actions as required.</li> <li>Support impacted staff and leaders in their change efforts to maximize change adoption.</li> <li>Coach sponsors and leaders on effective sponsorship and change leadership.</li> <li>Assess and monitor change adoption and behavior shifts.</li> <li>Ensure plans are in place for the orientation and training of end-users.</li> <li>Collaborate to develop go-live plan for user support.</li> <li>Ensure patient safety and end-user impact are considered when implementing workflow and process changes.&nbsp;</li> <li>Provide progress reporting and presentations to the leadership, sponsoring committee and others as appropriate.</li> <li>Continuously scanning the environment for ideas, best practices and emerging trends linked to managing change.</li> <li>Preparing cost estimates, business cases and cost-benefit analyses for project and budget planning purposes.</li> <li>Prepare presentations as well as financial and project approval documentation.</li> <li>Identifying risks and developing mitigation strategies.</li> <li>Developing and implementing/disseminating the communication/marketing, training, and change management plans for the project.</li> <li>Reviewing processes to ensure that internal controls are appropriate.</li> <li>Maintains project documentation repositories.</li> <li>Assuming other duties and responsibilities as assigned.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li>Broad industry experience with implementing technical and health information systems.</li> <li>ITIL experience.</li> <li>Demonstrated working knowledge and experience with implementing Meditech an asset.</li> <li>Minimum 7 years&rsquo; experience managing medium to large-scale projects within a multi-site and/or multi-organization context.</li> <li>PMP Certification required.&nbsp;</li> <li>Experience planning for major projects including programming, concept development, and implementation.</li> <li>Candidate must have demonstrated ability to build consensus and foster teamwork among a variety of stakeholders.</li> <li>Proficient computing skills, especially with Microsoft Office applications and financial reporting software an asset.</li> <li>Knowledge of MS Project preferred.</li> <li>Exceptional communication, interpersonal, organizational, and planning skills required, along with the ability to analyze, negotiate, and solve problems with a continuous improvement mindset in a fast-paced environment.</li> <li>Previous experience managing multiple projects and demonstrated ability to work effectively within time deadlines.</li> <li>Change management experience.</li> <li>Demonstrated good attendance and performance records with the ability to maintain these same standards.</li> <li>You encompass Oak Valley Health&rsquo;s core values and live the words of Respect, Trust, Commitment, Compassion and Courage.&nbsp;</li> <li>Ability to work independently or in a team setting.</li> <li>Flexibility with working hours.</li> <li>Demonstrated commitment to a healthy and safe workplace for self and others (staff, patients, families, etc.) by taking all reasonable precautions and working in compliance with hospital-related policies, health and safety legislation and best practices and completing relevant mandatory education as required.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li> </ul> <br /> <p><strong>Who we are:</strong></p> <p>Oak Valley Health is one of Ontario&rsquo;s leading community healthcare <span class="WDH1">organizations.&nbsp;Across</span> our two sites (Markham and Uxbridge) and Reactivation Care Centre (RCC), we provide high quality, patient-centred care to more than 468,000 patients each year.
