Responsibilities: <ul> <li>We are looking for Internationally Educated nurses who are in the process of becoming registered with the CNO to practice as a Registered Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse in Ontario&nbsp;and must still complete their supervised practice.</li> <li>You must have received from the CNO a notification of eligibility to participate in the Supervised Practice Program (SPEP).&nbsp;</li> <li>You will be matched with one of our&nbsp;nursing departments if you meet the qualifications to complete your 140 hours of practice.</li> <li>As a member of our interprofessional team, you will work collaboratively with the other members of the care team in providing care to patients.&nbsp;</li> <li>You will practice in an environment where our focus is on patient/family centered care, customer satisfaction and ongoing professional development.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li>Internationally Educated Nurse.</li> <li>Received a CNO issued notification of eligibility to participate in the Supervised Practice Program (SPEP).</li> <li>Current BCLS certification or ability to complete within 6 months.</li> <li>Recent related medical/surgical experience with evidence of well-developed clinical skills.</li> <li>RNAO membership is preferred.</li> <li>Excellent physical assessment skills.</li> <li>Proficient computer skills.</li> <li>Demonstrated commitment to a patient/family-centred care environment.</li> <li>Demonstrated excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills.</li> <li>Demonstrated ability to work effectively within an interprofessional team as well as independently.</li> <li>Well-developed organization, communication, interpersonal and teaching skills.</li> <li>Evidence of ongoing professional development, continuing education and leadership experience.</li> <li>Demonstrated good attendance and performance records with the ability to maintain these same standards.</li> <li>Demonstrates a commitment to a healthy and safe workplace for self and others (staff, patients, families, etc.) by taking all reasonable precautions and working in compliance with&nbsp;organization related policies, health and safety legislation and best practices and completing relevant mandatory education as required.</li> </ul> <br /> <p><strong>Who we are:</strong></p> <p>Oak Valley Health is one of Ontario&rsquo;s leading community healthcare organizations.&nbsp;Across our two sites (Markham and Uxbridge) and Reactivation Care Centre (RCC), we provide high quality, patient-centred care to more than 468,000 patients each year.
