Responsibilities: <ul> <li>As a Registered Nurse, you will become an integral member of the interprofessional team responsible for providing compassionate, patient and family-centered emergency care.</li> <li>This would be a supportive orientation to Emergency where you would complete the required courses with support from the Professional Practice Leader for learning opportunities.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li>Current Certificate of Registration with the College of Nurses</li> <li>Current BCLS and ACLS</li> <li>Minimum 2 years of acute care nursing experience</li> <li>RNAO membership is preferred</li> <li>ENPC&nbsp;certification is an asset &ndash; or willing to complete within 6 months of hire</li> <li>Excellent physical assessment skills, are required</li> <li>Proficient computer skills</li> <li>Demonstrated commitment to a patient centred care environment</li> <li>Demonstrated excellent critical thinking and problem solving skills</li> <li>Demonstrated ability to work effectively within an interprofessional team</li> <li>Well developed organization, communication, interpersonal and teaching skills</li> <li>Evidence of ongoing professional development, continuing education and leadership experience</li> <li>Demonstrated good attendance and performance record with the ability to maintain these same standards</li> <li>Demonstrated commitment to a healthy and safe workplace for self and others (staff, patients, families, etc.) by taking all reasonable precautions and working in compliance with&nbsp;organization related policies, health and safety legislation and best practices and completing relevant mandatory education as required</li> </ul> <br /> <p><strong>Who we are:</strong></p> <p>Oak Valley Health is one of Ontario&rsquo;s leading community healthcare organizations.&nbsp;Across our two sites (Markham and Uxbridge) and Reactivation Care Centre (RCC), we provide high quality, patient-centred care to more than 468,000 patients each year.
