Responsibilities: Reporting to the Patient Care Manager of Critical Care you will be responsible for providing excellent care to a diverse patient population within our multi-service environment. You will be part of a&nbsp;30-bed unit, delivering high-quality care both within the Critical Care Department as well as part of the&nbsp;Critical Care Response Team.&nbsp;
Requirements: <ul> <li style="font-weight: 400;">Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario&nbsp;or College of Respiratory Therapists of Ontario.</li> <li style="font-weight: 400;">Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing&nbsp;or Diploma in Respiratory Therapy.</li> <li style="font-weight: 400;">Current BCLS&nbsp;and&nbsp;ACLS.</li> <li style="font-weight: 400;">Completion of&nbsp;a&nbsp;Critical Care Certificate&nbsp;(for nurses).</li> <li style="font-weight: 400;">Minimum&nbsp;2 years&nbsp;of&nbsp;Critical Care experience in&nbsp;an Emergency Department or Intensive Care Unit.</li> <li style="font-weight: 400;">Excellent communication, organizational, time-management, and interpersonal skills.</li> <li style="font-weight: 400;">Excellent problem-solving, decision making and critical thinking skills.</li> <li style="font-weight: 400;">Demonstrates initiative and the ability to function both independently and as a multidisciplinary team member in a fast-paced demanding environment.</li> <li style="font-weight: 400;">Demonstrated good attendance record and performance record with the ability to maintain the same standard.</li> <li style="font-weight: 400;">Demonstrated commitment to a healthy and safe workplace for self and others (staff, patients, families, etc.) by taking all reasonable precautions and working in compliance with hospital-related policies, health and safety legislation and best practices and completing relevant mandatory education as required.</li> </ul> <br /><br /> <p style="font-weight: 400;"><strong>Who we are:</strong></p> <p style="font-weight: 400;">Oak Valley Health is one of Ontario&rsquo;s leading community healthcare organizations.&nbsp; Across our two sites (Markham and Uxbridge) and Reactivation Care Centre (RCC), we provide high quality, patient-centred care to more than 435,000 patients each year.
