As the Aquaculture Farm Manager, you will lead a team of eager-to-learn professionals, grooming them for middle management-level responsibilities. You will also be able to develop a training S.O.P. for unskilled employees and college students with marine science education for various positions. Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Selecting or growing brood stock.</li> <li>Developing feeding routines.</li> <li>Monitoring the stock's growth and condition.</li> <li>Overseeing processing of the fish for market.</li> <li>Supervising and training employees.</li> <li>Maintaining records.</li> <li>Breeding and raising stock.</li> <li>Keeping records of breeding programs and collecting data about stock.</li> <li>Monitoring water quality.</li> <li>Identifying common diseases and taking steps to prevent them.</li> <li>Monitoring and adjusting pool conditions using computers, meters, and other equipment.</li> <li>Assisting with nutritional BMPs, delivering a premium organic product.</li> <li>Monitoring the health and well-being of the fish.</li> <li>Maintaining production schedules throughout the year.</li> <li>Coordinating projects in one or more locations, etc.</li> <li>Pumps and water conduction equipment.</li> <li>Equipment for water quality control.</li> <li>Facilities for water circulation and treatment.</li> </ul> <br /><br />
Requirements: <ul> <li>At least four years of working experience in aquaculture, preferably with a Master's or Ph.D.&nbsp;</li> <li>Biology -- Knowledge of fish and animal organisms, their tissues, cells, functions, inter-dependencies, and interactions with each other and the aquaculture environment.&nbsp;</li> <li>Chemistry -- Knowledge of the chemical composition, structure, and properties of substances and the chemical processes and transformations they undergo. This includes interactions, danger signs, production techniques, and disposal methods within an organic aquaponics environment.&nbsp;</li> <li>Administration and Management -- Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership techniques, production methods, and coordination of people and resources.&nbsp;</li> <li>Personnel and Human Resources -- Knowledge of principles and procedures for personnel recruitment, selection, training, compensation and benefits, labor relations and negotiation, and personnel information systems working hand in hand with HR to recruit high quality, high retention staff.&nbsp;</li> <li>English Language -- Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language, including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.&nbsp;</li> <li>Computer Skillset: Microsoft WORD, EXCEL, Outlook, and computer knowledge required.&nbsp;</li> <li>Education and Training -- Knowledge of principles and methods for curriculum and training design, teaching and instruction for individuals and groups, and measuring training effects.
