Responsibilities: <strong>Workday Management:</strong><br /> <ul> <li>Partner with the Payroll, HR, HRIS, Accounting, and Finance teams to understand, plan, and manage.</li> <li>Assess requirements, provide recommendations, and design solutions to ensure user ease of adoption.</li> </ul> <strong><br />System Testing and Enhancement:</strong><br /> <ul> <li>Create, review, and participate in system testing and enhancements, including process upgrades, system patches, and Workday Releases.</li> <li>Conduct regression testing and other system improvements to align overall system performance with business objectives.</li> </ul> <strong><br />User Training and Reporting:</strong><br /> <ul> <li>Train internal team members, end-users, and peers on new processes and functionality.</li> <li>Develop communication of changes and benefits to end users.</li> <li>Create, edit, and prepare reports and user-friendly dashboards in collaboration with Accounting, Payroll, and HR teams.</li> </ul> <strong><br />Job Costing Integration and Data Integrity:</strong><br /> <ul> <li>Coordinate with financial controllers, project managers, and payroll administrators to ensure accurate job costing across various construction and solar projects via Workday and multiple 3rd party systems.</li> <li>Troubleshoot and resolve integration issues to maintain data integrity.</li> </ul> <strong><br />HR Process Enhancement and User Experience:</strong><br /> <ul> <li>Improve the overall employee experience of HR &amp; Payroll processes by conducting user experience sessions with various stakeholders.</li> <li>Identify opportunities for improvement and collect the voice of the customer.</li> </ul> <strong><br />Compliance and Vendor Liaison:</strong><br /> <ul> <li>Provide support for audits, certifications, and compliance requirements.</li> <li>Implement system integrations and debug integration issues and defects, primarily with payroll and benefits vendors.</li> <li>Act as a liaison between the company and external vendors and consultants, particularly in aligning the Workday Payroll system with construction timelines and high-turnover workforce management.</li> </ul> <strong><br />Team Member Support Governance:</strong><br /> <ul> <li>Ensure that all payroll, absence, time tracking, and job costing cases are tracked, monitored, and resolved in a timely and effective manner.</li> <li>Collaborate with business process owners to address complex or high-priority cases, providing guidance and solutions as needed.</li> <li>Monitor SLA compliance and recommend corrective actions to meet or exceed established performance targets.</li> <li>Continuously assess and optimize SLAs based on evolving business needs and feedback.</li> <li>Define and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of shared services.</li> <li>Generate regular reports and dashboards to provide visibility into service performance.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li>Strong understanding of job costing principles and practices.</li> <li>Proficiency with Workday and Microsoft Office software products.</li> <li>Expertise in human resource information systems (HRIS) and/or the ability to quickly learn new applications.</li> <li>Bachelor's Degree required, preferably in information systems, computer science, or business administration or commensurate experience required.</li> <li>Extensive business process knowledge, configuration, and hands-on experience (minimum of three years) in Workday Payroll with a preference for at least two of the following additional areas: HCM, Recruiting, Absence, Time Tracking, Benefits, Projects, and Core Financials.</li> <li>Strong understanding of fundamental payroll practices, including but not limited to state compliance in main regions of business, contextualization of downstream impacts across each module to payroll &amp; labor costing, and the overall payroll processing workflow.</li> <li>Practical experience with high-volume hourly labor industries.</li> <li>Practical Workday integration experience and Workday Certification are preferred but not required.</li> <li>Experience with configuring Workday modules, including integrating with third-party apps.</li> </ul>
