This role requires a blend of practical experience and academic expertise to effectively teach and mentor the next generation of manufacturing professionals. Responsibilities: <ul> <li><strong>Instruction &amp; Curriculum Development</strong>: Deliver high-quality instruction in Manufacturing &amp; Industry 4.0, including CNC machining, automation, robotics, and digital manufacturing technologies. Develop, oversee and/or update curriculum to stay aligned with industry advancements.</li> <li><strong>Student Engagement</strong>: Cultivate a dynamic learning environment that encourages student participation and success. Provide mentorship and career guidance to students, preparing them for roles in the manufacturing industry.</li> <li><strong>Apprenticeship Programs</strong>: Design, implement, and/or oversee apprenticeship programs that reflect the cultural and operational needs of partnering companies in the South Florida area.</li> <li><strong>Industry Partnerships</strong>: Establish and nurture strong relationships with local industries to facilitate on-the-job training opportunities and ensure alignment between academic programs and industry requirements.</li> <li><strong>Program Management</strong>: Manage and coordinate academic programs, ensuring they meet educational standards and industry expectations. Participate in continuous improvement processes to enhance program effectiveness.</li> <li><strong>Research &amp; Development</strong>: Stay current with the latest trends and advancements in Industry 4.0. Engage in research activities that contribute to the field and support the academic community.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree or higher in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Technology, a related field; or equivalent practical experience in the manufacturing industry.</li> <li>Minimum of 5 years of practical experience in CNC machining and manufacturing processes for Industry 4.0.</li> <li>Strong knowledge of digital manufacturing technologies, automation, robotics, and/or data analytics in the context of Industry 4.0.</li> <li>Experience in establishing and maintaining partnerships with local industries for the purpose of providing apprenticeship and on-the-job training programs.</li> <li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate students and industry professionals.</li> <li>Proficiency in English, both written and verbal, is required.
