Full Time

Overview: Inspects incoming raw materials while utilizing sampling plan, approved engineering prints, and various instruments and software within inspection/metrology lab.
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Verifies specified dimensions of product or material (incoming &amp; in-process inspections)</li> <li>First piece inspections &amp; reporting</li> <li>Customer and supplier PPAP dimensional layouts</li> <li>Examines defective parts to determine the cause of the defect</li> <li>Inspects to all print specifications and conformance</li> <li>Maintains records regarding inspection and testing results</li> <li>Assists in Dock Audits / Process Audits</li> <li>Supports zero defect culture (Quality, HSE)</li> <li>Support to Quality, Production, PPE, &amp; Maintenance Teams</li> <li>Uses inspection tooling (i.e.: calipers, scales, optical comparator, micrometers, plug gages, microscope, thread gages, etc.).</li> <li>CMM Programming/operation</li> <li>Gage maintenance, control, &amp; calibration (MSA)</li> <li>Process Capability Studies</li> <li>Develops master bubble, inspection plans, ensure revision control</li> <li>Ensures effective product containment activities when required</li> <li>Organizes on-site sorting activities when required (internal / 3rd party)</li> <li>Assists in GP 12 / Safe Launch Activities</li> <li>Supports to ensure compliance to IATF-16949 &amp; ISO 14001</li> </ul>
Requirements: <strong>Knowledge, Skills, Abilities</strong> <ul> <li>Blueprints, GD&amp;T, CMM, metrology background/experience is required</li> <li>PPAP, GP-12 / Safe Launch</li> <li>Strong attention to detail</li> <li>Strong ability to adapt to change</li> <li>Knowledge of calendar, email, internet, manufacturing (Syteline), spreadsheet software, &nbsp;</li> <li>Solid works, and Microsoft Access</li> </ul> <strong>&nbsp;Education/Experience</strong> <ul> <li>High School Diploma or GED</li> <li>3-5 years quality inspection experience required</li> <li>3-5 years similar manufacturing industry experience preferred</li> </ul>
