Overview: As part of the Oetiker Production Engineering team, you will be driving key development activities for various metal forming products and manufacturing processes.
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Provide engineering support for the design and development of&nbsp;new&nbsp;and&nbsp;existing&nbsp;products,&nbsp;processes,&nbsp;equipment, and tooling&nbsp;while maintaining KPIs and ensuring quality&nbsp;&ndash;&nbsp;ZeroDefect&nbsp;mentality.&nbsp;</li> <li>Lead,&nbsp;coordinate&nbsp;and collaborate&nbsp;project&nbsp;engineering activities&nbsp;and cross-functional teams&nbsp;by applying agile project management methodologies and utilization of latest collaboration tools (MS&nbsp;Project,&nbsp;MS&nbsp;Outlook,&nbsp;MS&nbsp;Teams,&nbsp;SharePoint,&nbsp;etc.)&nbsp;</li> <li>Utilize&nbsp;technical risk management&nbsp;tools according to AIAG standards.&nbsp;</li> <li>Define&nbsp;technical requirements,&nbsp;manage&nbsp;suppliers&nbsp;and&nbsp;provide adequate&nbsp;training/&nbsp;support to&nbsp;various departments during the implementation of&nbsp;deliverables&nbsp;throughout the various APQP Phases.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li> <li>Manage&nbsp;the&nbsp;assembly of production machines and tooling, ensuring a smooth hand-over to production by preparing Technical Work Instructions, reports and&nbsp;taking&nbsp;action&nbsp;to the closure of open items.&nbsp;</li> <li>Conduct Functional Acceptance Testing and product validations.&nbsp;</li> <li>Provide&nbsp;problem-solving&nbsp;support for production continuous improvement&nbsp;activities&nbsp;(OPS)&nbsp;and&nbsp;non-conformities.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li>Proven drive (energy, determination, motivation)&nbsp;with&nbsp;a can-do/go-and-see&nbsp;mentality&nbsp;</li> <li>Good interpersonal skills with ability to communicate and negotiate effectively across all levels and all functions of the organization&nbsp;</li> <li>Outstanding oral and written communication skills in English&nbsp;</li> <li>Critical thinker and problem solver&nbsp;</li> <li>Project Management, self-directed organization &amp; attention to detail&nbsp;&nbsp;</li> <li>Comprehensive knowledge of Tool &amp; Die design and general machining skills&nbsp;</li> <li>Thorough understanding of GD&amp;T practices&nbsp;</li> </ul> <strong>Education/Experience</strong> <ul> <li>5+&nbsp;years&rsquo; experience&nbsp;as&nbsp;Mechanical or Manufacturing&nbsp;Engineer with focus on&nbsp;Product, Process,&nbsp;or&nbsp;Testing, preferably in an automotive, high volume&nbsp;or&nbsp;metal stamping&nbsp;manufacturing&nbsp;environment(s)&nbsp;</li> <li>Mechanical Engineering (BSc, MSc)&nbsp;or Engineering Technologist Diploma&nbsp;combined with relevant work experience&nbsp;</li> <li>Experienced in Quality Systems such as IATF 16949 and ISO 9001&nbsp;</li> <li>Design / Process Design: 3D-CAD experience, preferably SolidWorks&nbsp;</li> </ul>
